We are blessed with talented priests and laity across the Diocese of Lincoln. I am especially thankful for the parish leadership given to the Joy of the Gospel campaign during Bloc 1 (January June, 2015, St. John s included). Our success is the result of priests and volunteers conducting visits, following up with parishioners, and working with the campaign office I d like to share an update on the campaign I m pleased to inform you we have raised over $43,000,000, leaving us less than $10, to reach our minimum goal of $53,000,000. I am very hopeful that we will reach our goal. If we are blessed to surpass $53,000,000, the Diocese of Lincoln will be even more capable of responding to our needs. Our $53,000,000 goal has always been a minimum threshold a surplus from Joy of the Gospel will help secure a more positive financial future. I appreciate the continued support of your parish and the Joy of the Gospel. I pray the Holy Spirit will continue to guide our efforts and inspire the hearts and the generosity of all our people. When you got married, you intended it to last a lifetime, Now, thru divorce you may be faced with a difficult situation and a time of grief and pain for the loss of the dream you had for your life. You are single again and probably have many responsibilities that need your attention. The first thing you must do is to take good care of yourself. Your children, your job, your extended family will all suffer more if you are not healthy and hopeful for the future. The Family Life Office recommends the Catholic Divorce Survival Guide program.
