4 4 NATIVITY IN ACTION-JOIN-VOLUNTEER-GIVE The Nativity Choir, Children s Choir, and Handbell Choir will resume regular rehearsals on Wednesday, September 7. For more information or to apply, visit our website at memphis or contact us at The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Memphis serves a meal every day of the year at our Food Mission at the Ozanam Center at 1306 Monroe Ave. Volunteer Teams serve between guests each day. Many guests are homeless, hungry, and in need a shared smile and gentle spirit. We are seeking volunteers to help serve our guests on weekday mornings. The time commitment is 8:30-11:15 am. These children come to LeBonheur Children s Hospital from third world countries that lack the facilities and expertise to perform this life saving surgery. Catholic Charities of West Tennessee is collaborating with Gift of Life to recruit people who would be willing to take a meal to the FedEx house at LeBonheur for one or two persons, a few times each year. Volunteers will be notified via when a child arrives in country and directed to sign up at if they are available. POINSETTIA SALE It's that time of year again! The Women s Guild will be selling live plants after Mass the weekends of November 26 th /27 th ; December 3 rd /4 th and December 10 th /11 th. There will be only one pick up date which is December 17 th /18 th. Only $10.00 each with a choice of colors. If you don't want one for your house buy one for God's house. The Knights of Columbus will be selling "Keep Christ in Christmas Cards" after the weekend Masses during November 12th to December 11th. Proceeds will be used to support special needs children and pro-life causes. Please support these worthwhile causes while sharing your Christmas greetings with your family and friends. Christmas Mass Schedule: Children s Mass is 4:30 Saturday, 12/24 with music by the Children s Choir at 3:30; The Filipino Mass is at 7:30 pm 12/24 in Tagalog; Midnight Mass is at 11 pm on 12/24 with music starting at 10:15; Christmas Day Mass is at 10:30 only, & The Spanish Mass is at 5 pm 12/25.
