In his address, Bishop Paprocki reminded the faithful that The horrible sins that we have endured learning about and the souls of those damaged by them hurt us all in the mystical body of Christ. In the same way, the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful are effective in bringing about spiritual healing to the whole Body of Christ. 3 The 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time We are asking all of the parents of our students to review these policies for the coming year: If your child will be absent, please call the parish office so we can let the catechists know. When picking up your child, please drive or walk up to the vestibule doors by the west parking lot. NO child will be allowed to run to a parked car, even if you motion them to do so. The safety of our students is our paramount concern. Kindergarten children are to be picked up at the North Shrine. They will be dismissed 5 minutes before the other classes. If your child will be picked up by someone other than yourself or if they are to go home with someone other than their parent, please let us know. Remember! Our program is only to reinforce the instruction you the parent give to your student. Now that classes are in session, let us remember that hunger seldom takes a break. The St. Charles Religious Education Program has assisted Soup Stop in providing meals to those in our community who experience hunger by collecting jars of peanut butter for sandwiches. We ask that our students bring jars of peanut butter and place them in the shopping cart in the basement. R.C.I.A. We are beginning to plan for the newest sessions for R.C.I.A. SUNDAY SCRIPTURE QUESTIONS TO PONDER Not against us: Really! We may be surprised at who speaks and acts in God s name. We should never be jealous of righteous acts and good words, regardless of who does them. It really makes no difference who does good things. It matters that good things are done. Because of God s grace and mercy, we are all in this together. Good acts bring joy to us all. What gives joy to my heart (Psalm 19)? What gets in my way of good behavior, of rights acts? Who can I support, affirm, and trust? Calendar of Events 9/30 Rel. Ed K, 1-3, 7 & 8 9:45-10:45am HS Rel.
