1 Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Fr. Tony O Neill, Pastor Dear Brothers and Sisters, 2385 Commerce Blvd. Mound, MN ourladyofthelake.com 22 nd Sunday in Ordinary Time August 28 th, 2016 Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. -Luke 14:13-14 It s hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the summer and school is about to begin again. This past Wednesday we had a back-to-school Mass and it was wonderful to see the excitement and energy. Although I have to admit that some of the parents were a little more excited than our students. Let s all pray for a blessed and successful school year. Psalm 127 says Unless the Lord builds the house those who build it labor in vain. We are very close to completing our Grace Family Center and very shortly we will be announcing plans for celebrating the opening of our new building. This truly has been a labor of love, and although a complex task, this is a project that we can be very proud of. As you have heard me say before, the Food Shelf and Pennywise are jewels in our crown. We will certainly take time to celebrate, and to thank so many of you who have made the Grace Family Center a reality. God bless, Fr. Tony FORMED: Online Catholic Resource Parish Code: P Y W Y W J On Monday, August 15 th, we celebrated the Feast Day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You can listen to an audio: Praying the Rosary Like Never Before, or watch a Program: Footprints of God - Mary, the Mother of God. On August 27 th we have the Feast Day of St. Monica; recommended movie: Love is a Choice. And the next day is the feast of her son, St. Augustine. Listen to the audio: Saints for Sinners - The Lives of St. Augustine and St. Margaret. JuanAnna Coffee Summer is coming to a close and Sunday coffee sales are BACK!
