4 Annual 4th of July picnic on the bluff MONDAY, JULY 4TH ~ 6-10 P.M. Join the fun and fireworks on the bluff at St. Edward! Bring your picnic, chairs and blankets. You will need them, once the sun goes down it gets cold. We will provide the best view around, if the weather cooperates, grills (for your cooking convenience), cookies, coffee and great music by Country Roots. 7 Parish Ministries World Apostolate of Fatima 1st Saturday July 1, 2016 Join us every first Saturday of the month after the 8:15 a.m. Mass and every Tuesday from 6-7:00 p.m. to honor our Blessed Mother s requests for personal conversion, the daily Rosary for world peace, prayers and sacrifices for sinners who have no one to pray for them, and reparation to the Eucharistic Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of Fatima Statue The Blue Army has a beautiful traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima that is available to visit parishioners homes for a week at a time, from Tuesday to the following Tuesday. Please contact Carol Harris (949) Inviting Married Couples Thursday July 7 Circle your calendar for an evening of Living Catholic Marriage, a series of topics to enrich marriage by helping husbands and wives communicate better and grow stronger in their faith. We will start with a pot-luck dinner and social so come to meet new friends. For time and location, call Bob and Mary Dausch at TIJUANA MINISTRY Every Thursday, after the 8:15 A.M. Mass, volunteers make approximately 300 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which are taken to Tijuana on Friday and distributed to the jail inmates, the homeless and needy. 8 Retrouvaille.. a lifeline for marriages Retrouvaille helps couples heal and renew their Marriages. The word Retrouvaille (pronounced re-tro-vi with a long i) is a French word meaning rediscovery. The program offers tools needed to rediscover a loving marriage relationship. Thousands of couples headed for cold, unloving relationships or divorce have successfully overcome their marriage problems by attending the program. Couples will have the opportunity to rediscover each other and examine their lives in a new and positive way. Retrouvaille provides marriage help! For more information or questions about the next dates in Orange County, visit Coping with Grief and Loss Join us in an ongoing support group sponsored by Alzheimer s Orange County for caregivers and family members of those suffering from Alzheimers and Dementia. The group meets the second Saturday of the month. The next meeting is July 9th in the View Room at St. Timothy s. This group is for caregivers only, and not for individuals experiencing the disease themselves. 12 Summer work around the Parish We have broken out the hard hats and tool belts for summer work around our parish. Keep your eyes out for the following improvements: We received a waiver from the Water District that is allowing us to replace the grass on the field with a drought tolerant sod. We are modifying three classrooms to provide student support space for the learners at The Parish School. New flooring will be installed in the upstairs hallways at the school. Middle school learners will return to find new lockers Two air conditioning units will be replaced at the school. Plans are underway for a refresh of the Knight Hall Kitchen funded by our PSA rebate.
