2 Fifth Sunday of Lent 2 March 18, 2018 WHAT IS CATHOLIC STEWARDSHIP? According to the Archdiocese of Vancouver, Catholic Stewardship is: All of the teachings of stewardship come directly from the Gospels, the Old Testament and the letters of the New Testament Stewardship is not a new fad, or environmental word Stewardship is the way God has expected His people to live since the beginning of time Stewardship is recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God We can take credit for nothing Everything we have and everything we do is a result of some gift that God has placed into our hands Stewardship is living a life of gratitude taking the time every day to recognize the gifts that God has given and to be grateful for them Stewardship is returning a portion of our gifts to God The gifts we return are our time, our talent and our treasure We return these gifts not because God or our Church needs them but because we feel an overwhelming need to show our love and gratitude to God Stewardship is transformative Once we embrace the stewardship message it changes the way we look at every decision we make Stewardship becomes a total way of life HOLY WEEK SERVICES HOLY THURSDAY 7:00 PM - Mass, Ss Mary & Joseph GOOD FRIDAY 8:00 AM - Morning Prayer, Ss Mary & Joseph 3:00 PM - Service, Ss Mary & Joseph 5:30 PM - Service, St Joseph, Montrose 7:00 PM - Stations of the Cross, Sacred Heart EASTER VIGIL 8:00 AM - Morning Prayer, Ss Mary & Joseph 8:30 PM - Vigil Mass, Sacred Heart EASTER 8:30 AM - Mass, Sacred Heart 8:30 AM - Mass, St Joseph, Montrose 10:30 AM - Mass, Ss Mary and Joseph EASTER EGG HUNT The Holy Family Parish BFF (Building Faithful Families) group will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31st, at McAleer Hall at 3:00 pm All children 11 years of age and younger are invited to participate in the hunt DAILY MASS Due to the Chrism Mass at the Diocese, daily Mass this Monday is moved to 8:00 am and Mass on Tuesday is moved to 5:30 pm Both will be at Ss Mary and Joseph EASTER DECORATIONS/FLOWERS If you would like to make a donation for Easter decorations or flowers to decorate the churches for Easter, please drop your donation in the collection basket, marked Easter Decorations/ Flowers EASTER SUNDAY NIGHT MASS There will NOT be a 5:30 pm Mass on Easter Sunday, April 1st SEDER MEAL Due to running out of time to prepare for the Seder Meal, we are postponing it until next year Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to having it next Lent FATIMA STATUE HTC High School will be hosting the Our Lady of Fatima statue this week, March 19th - March 23rd Everyone is invited to come and pray the rosary as a faith community The rosary will be prayed in the chapel on: There will be NO rosary on Sunday, March 18th Monday, 12:15 pm Tuesday, 1:00 pm Wednesday, 10:15 am Thursday, 10:30 am Friday, 2:30 pm
