The scrip program helps our school with no cost to you, purchase a scrip card for what you need and help our parish and school grow. Scrip is sold before and after the Saturday night and Sunday morning Mass. It may also be ordered through the HTC website. Everyone of the baptized should feel involved in the church and social change that we so greatly need. This change calls for a personal and communal conversion that makes us see things as the Lord does. Pope Francis is telling us that the truth is the first step of healing. And he is calling us to a deeper solidarity with those who have suffered abuse at the hands of the church to truly see them and their suffering to not turn a blind eye. The Pope calls us to the time honored disciplines of prayer and penance. St. Mary s will celebrate a Mass for forgiveness Friday, September 28th at 7:30 AM. - Fr. Hoffman As a part of the Diocese Vision 20/20 parishes throughout the Diocese will be reflecting on Pope Francis The Joy of the Gospel. Father Hoffman will lead a six week study group at our parishes. Meeting dates at St. Boniface will be Tuesday nights at 6:30pm Sept 25th, Oct. 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th and Nov. 6th. St. Mary s will meet Thursday nights at 6:30pm, Sept 27th, Oct. 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and Nov 8th. If you would like to participate you will need to get a copy of the Joy of the Gospel and read the introduction prior to the first night of class. Copies can be purchased online or downloaded. If you would like we also have copies available in the parish office. Please contact Rebecca Hannum at the parish office to sign up for a copy /19 Confirmation Classes The first class for the Four-Parish Public School Confirmation students will be held on Wednesday, October 17th. We will begin with Mass at 7 p.m. at St. James in St. Paul. Questions, please contact Mike 319/ St. John s Harvest Festival will be September 29th & 30th. Food and drinks will begin at 5:30pm on Saturday with the auction from 6:00-10:00P.M. We will have a $1,000 cash raffle on Saturday Night. You must be present to win. Activities will resume on Sunday morning. New this year - we will be using auction numbers - pick your number up at the ticket table! Spread the word! The 2018 Raffle Grand Prize is either a 1025R Sub -Compact Utility Tractor or $8000 Cash! 2nd prize is $1000 Cash. 3rd prize is 10 - $100 Cash. The ticket prices are $25 each or 5/$100. The winners will be drawn at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the St. John Harvest Festival Auction. If winner chooses the cash prize, then tractor will be auctioned at 6:00 P.M St. James God s Acre Sale is October 6th & 7th. The auction will begin on Saturday from 6:00-11:00 P.M. and resumes Sunday at Noon. The HTC Junior Class is serving dinner Saturday evening. St. James Parish will be serving free popcorn and selling water, pop and beer. A Turkey dinner will be served on Sunday from 10:30 A.M-1:00 P.M. Saturday evening. There are two (2) cash prizes this year - $5,000 (If present an additional $ will be awarded) and $1, (need not be present to win). Tickets are $20.00 each or 6 for $ Drawing to be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, October 7th. Lord, bless these children who were brought to you, and teach them to follow in your way. Lord, please bless their parents. And with your loving care, reward them all with the happiness a family can share. May God bless their life with happiness, fill their home with joy and peace and guide them through all their years together.

3 Farmer s Wife Harvest Prayer Dear Lord, Please watch over us during harvest. During the busy. During the crazy. During the parts runs, the harvest food runs, and elevator runs. During the fast paced on the go unloading, and the slower than slow break downs. Grant us the weather conditions that allow us to get harvest done in a timely matter. Guide and protect all of us during this season. Help my husband to be safe always. Give him reason and time to think and somehow, enjoy this busy season. Cover him in your grace and blessings. Allow him patience during the breakdowns, because we know they are inevitable. Allow him quick reflexes and thoughts when he has to think on his feet. Allow him the love and strength that he needs to function during this busy season. Help our children to understand why dad is busy, can t tuck them in at night, or can t be home for dinner. Guide their little hearts and bless them. Help them to understand this season and grow up with an appreciation of the farm and knowing how hard their daddy worked to provide for us. Help them to remember and cherish this season, as a time to harvest. Help me as a wife, Lord. Help me to stay strong. Give me the strength to pack the coolers, help with the homework, clean the house, dirty laundry, prepare and think of easy harvest meals, and somehow allow my heart peace during this crazy time. Help me to find time for You and for me. Even though I go to bed tired, and alone at night, I know You are there protecting our family. Watch over my husband during the late nights and early mornings, and grant us the rest we all need. Most of all, thank you for the harvest season. We know it s tiring and seems endless, but it is just a season. And with You, every season brings a time of hustle, crazy, tears, and also joy and blessing. We are so blessed for this harvest, for this season, for our family, our love, and for You. Please lead, guide and direct us, during this harvest season, and in Your perfect timing and love. ~Anonymous St. Boniface would like to thank the Fall Dinner committee members along with the parish members that help make the fall dinner a success.
