6 Fourteenth Sunday 6 July 8, 2018 A CALL TO HOLINESS An evening of music and reflection on Pope Francis letter, Rejoice and Be Glad, presented by Chuck and Alicia Brock, will be held on Sunday, th, at 6:30 pm at Ss Mary and Patrick Church, West Burlington Everyone is invited to come Save that date! NO KID HUNGRY No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world After 25 years of successfully investing in local nonprofits and helping find the best approaches to eradicating poverty and hunger, Share Our Strength launched No Kid Hungry in 2010 Kids who rely on school meals struggle to get enough to eat during the summer months Free meals will be served at Fort Madison High School in from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm until August 3rd (No meals on July 4th) The meals are free for kids ages 1-18 years, adult meals are $360 For more information please call HALL RENTALS If you are interested, or anyone asks, our halls are available for rent They are often used for wedding and birthday celebrations, community activities, etc Roling Hall rents for $600 and McAleer Hall small hall rents for $175, while the large hall rents for $625 For specifics, please call Anita at the parish office, CRUSADER S CORNER HOST FAMILIES We are looking for Host Families for International Students that have been accepted to attend HTC in the school year! As a Host Family, you will receive a monthly stipend to help cover the expenses of having a student in your home Host Families are made up of many different types, married couples, single parents, persons with kids in school, empty nesters This is a great way to become involved in HTC if you are not already or to continue on if your children may have graduated and gone off to college We are currently looking to place a 13-year old male student from China who will be entering the 9 th grade He describes himself as independent, outgoing, warm-hearted and optimistic He wants to experience the American Culture and American Studies He plans to join in extracurricular activities so he can become part of the group and meet new friends His interests are basketball, jogging and skiing He also loves to play the drums in his school band We are in need of a home that does not have indoor dogs or cats Outside pets are fine Students arrive approximately one week prior to the start of the school year and leave within 5 days of the end of the school year If you are at all interested in becoming a host family or know of someone and would like more information, please contact myself Cheryl Brock, at or her at Cherylia37@hotmailcom I am the new International Student Local Coordinator for the participating Exchange Agencies HTC works with for this upcoming school year Please visit the Holy Trinity Website for more information & the calendar: wwwholytrinityschoolsorg
