4 The King s Business A weekly report of our Christian Stewardship Attendance Last Weekend 102 Offerings Last Week $ 4120 Our Weekly Financial need $4411 At the Church of the Epiphany all baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Holy Communion. We discourage the practice of dipping the bread into the wine. If you are uncomfortable taking the wine from the Chalice, receiving only the bread at Communion is sufficient. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those who need them upon request. Simply ask when you come to the communion rail. If you want to get social with us online, follow us on Twitter ( & Facebook ( ANNOUNCEMENTS Summer Hours: Beginning July 1, we will move to our summer hours on Sunday ONE service at 9:30 am. July 29 will be a BCP Eucharist. The Annual spring clean-up and planting will take place on Saturday 2nd June. All those with brawn and muscles to spare please show up at 9 am with spades and weeding implements like hoes and gloves and strong fingers. Others with more of a penchant for planting please show up at 10 am and we'll have the whole job done by noon I'm sure. Messy Church Fiesta: A reminder that all interested in children s, youth, and family ministry, whether in an official role or not, are strongly encouraged to attend the Messy Church Fiesta on Saturday, June 9, at the Church of the Ascension (1476 Sparks Street). 5 Camp Manitou: Camp Manitou is still accepting registrations for the 2012 summer camping season. Smores, canoeing/kayaking, campfires and adventures await children 8 years and up. Week long residential programs are available for boys 8-11, boys 12 and up, girls 8-11, and girls 12 and up. Hope to see you this summer on the Bay! New Phones! Parish Directory: The Communications Committee will oversee this project, with a target of early fall to take photos of all parish members. If you would like to assist the committee, please speak with David, Marion or Wendy. Church Bulletin - Makeover Edition. Over the months of June, July and August, a team from the Communications and Worship committees will be testing out some different formats for our Saturday and Sunday bulletins. At that time, we will be looking for your feedback and input regarding the bulletins in order to help us design a bulletin that serves as an effective guide to our liturgy, is accessible, environmentally responsible, low-cost, and easy to produce. Cranmer Conference 2012: Are you between 19 and 29? Are you interested in traditional Anglicanism and Prayer Book worship? Do you know anyone who might answer yes to these questions? From Aug 24-26, 2012, at the Church of St. John the Divine, North Bay, a group of like-minded young people will consider The Murder of Thomas Cranmer. Please see Fr.
