3 This weekend, we hear the familiar gospel story of Jesus casting the money changers out of the temple and demanding respect for His Father s house. Needless to say there is a time and place for raising funds to run our churches; but Jesus is angry how making money had taken center stage in the temple. Money changers made a very lucrative living by overcharging people for the animals they had to buy for their annual sacrifices. Jesus saw the injustice and the His anger blazed out. Ironically, this weekend is also the kick off for the Annual Catholic Appeal. We will be listening to Cardinal Sean s homily and we will be asked to take pledge cards and to contribute as much as possible to this important fund drive. As you can imagine, the archdiocese s services reach out to millions of people each year. The many offices at the Pastoral Center in Braintree administer to all these programs. One of these offices that has been helpful to us in recent years, is the Archdiocesan Real Estate office. Without their expertise and hands on help, the sale of our school buildings would still just be a hope. They have worked closely with the buyers and have navigated the innumerable ins and outs of the long process. Each year, every parish has an assessment which they are required to meet. Our assessment this year is $36,878. If we do not raise that amount of money, then the remainder is deducted from our account. The last two years we have fallen short by a few thousand dollars. Fortunately, we have applied for and been granted forgiveness. I doubt that will happen again this year. Please be as generous as possible and help us reach our assessed amount. HUDSON, MA Fr. A nossa avaliação deste ano e $36,878. Assim seja!!! 3 **PARISH HOURS** Monday/Tues 9:00am - 3:00pm Thursday/Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm (Closed Wednesdays)

Join us for prayer and worship! 5 DATE: TODAY TO: YOU FROM: GOD SUBJECT: YOURSELF RE: LIFE This is God! Today I will be handling all of your problems for you! I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it yourself. Kindly write your problem/request on a piece of paper and place it in the SFGTD (something for God to do box). I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved but in MY TIME, not yours. Once you place the matter into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don t despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad, think of the person who has never known what it s like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend, think of the woman in dire straits, working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance, think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to walk. Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror, think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she/he had hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful!!! There are those who didn t live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself victim of other people s bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities, remember things could be worse. You could be one of them. Have a nice day and remember..i LOVE YOU!!!!!!! GOD P.S I have a God Box. Periodically, I read the requests I have placed in there. I am always amazed at the things I realize God has accomplished. Try it out what have you got to lose? Mary Ellen
6 Sunday Throughout theweek: LENT, A TIME TO RENEW Sharing the Gospel In the temple people hollered: "Buy a cow." "Buy a sheep." "Buy a dove." Jesus got very angry. He wanted everyone to honor God in the temple. Jesus wants your actions to show that you love God. He wants you to care for this world. He wants you to welcome everyone to your church. He wants you to pray, sing, and listen to his word in church. Prayer Holy Spirit, show me how to honor God in church. Something to Draw Draw your family welcoming other people to pray at your church The students of our Religious Education program will be hosting the Living Stations of the Cross on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30pm. All parishioners are invited to pray this Lenten devotion with our young people. Mission for the Week I will honor God by praying, singing, and listening to his word in church. 6
