3 Senior Warden s Report July 24 Attendance 84 Collection $2, A couple of new ministries: What is your loss? It may be spouse, sibling, parent, child or it may be one of the many others we don t think about when talking about grief. Have you lost friends and relationships because of relocation or a falling out? Has your employment status changed? Are you assuming different responsibilities than what you have had in the past, or are you having to give up some of those responsibilities? Come join us as we look at loss in our lives, and talk together about the grief that comes as a result, and find ways to express and deal with that loss and grief. Meetings will begin Tuesday, August 2nd and continue every Tuesday at 4:00pm in the St. Paul s Lutheran Church chapel. I look forward to seeing you there! AND Pay What You Can a weekly Wednesday dinner for the community. A joint venture of Lella Lowe and Cecilia Archer. Some of the goals: offer affordable, healthy meals to people who have a hard time finding that balance on a regular basis, offer an opportunity to give back as well as a chance to learn new skills by opening prep time to the community as well, offer fresh new food options by making sure one main dishes is vegan and to respond to our call to ministry that is out in the world. Of course, we can t do this without you. Volunteers are needed. We will need people for marketing, cooking, serving, clean up, and shopping. We are not asking for an every week commitment. If you are interested see Lella Lowe or rollread@bellsouth.net There will be a meeting following the service on Sunday, July 31 to discuss the proposed new "Wednesday Night Dinner: Pay What You Can" ministry. Join us in a corner of the parish hall after grabbing some snacks for a Q&A session and some brainstorming. If you are interested in the ministry, but are unable to attend the meeting this Sunday, then please contact Lella Lowe at or rollread@bellsouth.net. The Food Pantry: The cupboard is bare! In he r premier show, Abstraction, Cynthia will be exhibiting, in her words, "spontaneous, free-form expressions of color and shape without derivative content." Cynthia is a self-taught artist who resides in Daphne with her husband, two standard poodles and Ivan the cat.
