Through cords of wise and simple words with divine grace, you strangled the evil and demented teaching of Arius. In the Spirit you set out the divine and sacred teaching which enlightens every Orthodox Christian and taught them to glorify the unique Word as truly the only begotten of the unoriginate Father who grants the world great mercy. O father, you put to death the carnal passions and raised the dead by the grace of God. You transformed a serpent into gold and by your prayer restrained the raging of the river. You appeared to the afflicted emperor by night and healed him by coming close to his heart through the marvellous glory which was given to you by God. Therefore, we honour your memory with a mighty voice. We reverence the divine and sacred shrine of your relics from which flows a divine stream of healing and great mercy.
