33 Although Thou didst descend into the grave as one dead, O Life-giver, yet didst Thou destroy the power of Hades, and raising together with Thyself, O Christ, those who were in bondage therein, as God Thou grantest resurrection unto all who with faith and love magnify Thee. Let creation be overjoyed, delighting and blossoming forth like a lily, for as God, Christ is risen from the dead; wherefore let us cry aloud: 'Death! where is thy sting? and where thy victory O Hades? For the Compassionate One Who hath exalted our horn, hath laid thee to the ground'. Refrain: Most holy Theotokos save us.
