Priest: O Master, Lord Jesus Christ our God, O God of spirits and of all flesh, Who wast born of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and wast laid in a manger and in swaddling clothes for the salvation of the world, Thou didst summon the children and lay hands upon them, and didst say Suffer the little children to come to Me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God Thou didst come and heal every infirmity amongst the people, and trample down death by Thy death, having granted life to the world. To Thee do we pray, and of Thee do we entreat, look upon Thy servants and upon Thine inheritance, and assuage their grievous weeping over the untimeliness of the departure of their newborn infant N., and grant them consolation. And make the infant who was born to them, but did not receive Holy Baptism, worthy of Thy grace. For Thou art the repose of our souls and bodies, O Christ our God, and to Thee do we send up glory, together with Thy beginningless Father, and Thy most holy and good and lifecreating Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.
