6 Announcements / anuncios Queen of Angels Monastery is a community of Benedictine Sisters in Mt. Angel, Oregon. They are women who have responded to the call to live in community according to the Gospel and the Rule of St. Benedict. He was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is currently on chemotherapy treatments. Concert centerpiece is The Armed Man: A Mass for Peaceby Karl Jenkins. Based on the Catholic Mass, it incorporates the Islamic Call to Prayer, biblical Psalms and Revelation passages, and poetry of Kipling, Tennyson, and Hiroshima survivor Sankichi Toge. Reflective and haunting musical moments combine with march-like rhythms and celestial choral singing, effecting a moving, yet contemplative experience.
