To make an appointment, please call the Church Office. Marriage - Couples wishing to be married at either St. Rita or Christ the King must contact the pastor 6 months in advance of the proposed date. Marriage preparation is required by the Diocesan Marriage Preparation Policy. ************************************************ Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers of Hospitality are always needed for each Mass. Every day, the news media tell us of our troubling times: Disharmony in the family -42% of all marriages end in divorce before the 20th anniversary Children suffering -36 % of U.S. children live in poverty Conflict in society Combined violent and property crimes exceed 9 million, annually, in the U.S. The absence of the worship of God only 49% of adults in their 30 s and 40 s believe in the God of the Bible Time is running out! Many people due to unforeseen circumstances missed the Sacrament of Confirmation. The diocese is offering a special program for those who are 18 years or older. Just arrived and are for sale in the in the St. Rita Gift Shop are ancient coins called Widow Mites. These coins were in use during Jesus s period in Jerusalem, and reflect Christ s Gospel teaching of the poor widow and the proud temple Scribes and Pharisees.
