3 Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time October 21, 2018 STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY FAIR Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st Please join us at the Parish Center after all of the masses THIS weekend. Our parish ministries and organizations will be showcasing how they serve our community and the different ways you can be involved! Food and refreshments will be served! RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) RCIA sessions are held each Sunday following the 9:30 Mass in the Parish Center conference room (10:45-11:45 AM) and are open to everyone (even those who are already Catholic). Catholic parishes throughout the United States will rally in support of their priests in a celebration of the American priesthood as well as the men who were called to be his priests here on earth. On this special day, Catholics everywhere join together in praying for our priests, in praising God for their courage and their generosity. It is important to show our support for the sacredness of Christ's priesthood and our thankfulness for good priests, who are there for us when we need them. Please pray for all priests and make your gratitude personally known to your parish priests in some way to assure them of your loving care and gratitude for their presence in our lives and for faithfully serving our spiritual needs all these years. Knights of Columbus news The local council of the Knights of Columbus continues to stay busy helping our parishes and local community. Here are some accomplishments: Donated $500 each to: the St. Francis Center, The Haven, and Children s Medical Services through our Charity of the Month program. Raised nearly $5000 during the Annual Tootsie Roll Drive that helps Citizens with Disabilities. Raised $2900 through our Annual Golf Tournament. This money will be divided between the St. Francis Center and the American Cancer Society s Relay for Life. St. John s 3rd and 5th graders were all about STEAM recently when they built magnetic cars and rubber band rockets.
