1 Campaign Prayer St. Theresa, We pray for Your intercession, For our Parish, our School, its Pastor, Deacons and People. Pray for us that this, our parish church and school, dedicated to Your honor, may grow and prosper. Help us by Your intercession to improve our Holy House and the structures that house the work of this parish, so we may continue to welcome pilgrims, edify the faithful, educate the young, nurture vocations, and sanctify all souls who hunger for truth and thirst for the beauty of holiness. Help us to follow the example of Your faith, to be ready for service, and humble in heart, and let us rejoice always in God our Savior. May we be guarded by Your intercessions from sin and sorrow to be shielded against pride and envy, and teach us to love the Lord Jesus, and all souls for His sake. Amen. 2 My Dear Parishioners, What a beautiful celebration of the Easter Triduum. So many people went to make the Triumph of Easter so wonderful, reminding us and deepening in our hearts the depth and power of love over hate and life over death. To David San Miguel, our director of music, along with the choir and other musicians that joined in; Ginger Tamborello and all who worked as part of the RCIA team with Mackenzie and Sara who were baptized into Christ's death and resurrection and all who were received into full communion; to our Deacons; Pat our sacristan, flower arranger, Pinky; our lectors, extraordinary ministers, servers, and of course our faithful deacons thank you so very much, and so many others whose work is done in the quiet of faith and service. Without all present, our parishioners, visitors and friends, the celebration would not have been the expression of faith and love that was clearly made real in our three day feast and the Masses that were celebrated on Easter Sunday. Together may we continue to recognize Jesus in the breaking of bread and in those who might be marginalized or excluded, Fr. Phil

3 Dear Friends, As the Capital Campaign Chairs, Father Phil has asked us to provide an update on the progress of our campaign. First, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your generosity and support of our Capital Campaign. As of the printing of this report, approximately $7.3M has either been given or pledged towards our goal of $12.1M. Our hearts are full with gratitude to all who have given and worked so hard to make this campaign successful. For those who may be new to our parish, a brief review: in response to the growth of our parish over the past 10 years, St. Theresa Church and School began plans for a capital campaign in A careful assessment was made of the needs of our parish, and a plan to renovate our sanctuary and expand our school was developed. (Details may be found at At a cost exceeding $11M, this is by far the largest capital investment that our parish has ever undertaken. (The goal of $12.1M includes a $700,000 commitment to the Archdiocese Capital Campaign that is occurring concurrent with our own parish campaign.) Following is a brief timeline of our campaign to date: August, 2015 December, 2015 January March, 2016 September, 2016 January March, 2017 March 4 & 5, 2017 Formation of the Phase II Executive Committee Phase II plans presented to parish: $11.4 goal set Feasibility Study conducted & results presented Quiet phase of Capital Campaign began Receptions held for Parishioners Commitment Weekend Of Note: 478 individuals, families, and family foundations have donated to the campaign Over fifty per cent of the $7.5M received to date comes from two families: The Estate of Leo Etlinger, and a parish family who wishes to be anonymous (they are also the donors of the Challenge Grant.)

4 Going Forward: 1. Our campaign is not over. Gifts to the campaign are still necessary in order for us to achieve our goal and to begin construction. 2. If you have not yet turned in your pledge, please do so as soon as possible. 3. Pledges can be made by completing the campaign envelope in the pews please put your envelope in with the collection or you may mail it to the church office. Pledges can also be made on line at 4. Campaign volunteers will be making phone calls to all parishioners who were mailed a campaign packet and from whom we have not yet heard, to remind you that now is the time to make your pledge. 5. Remember that while the typical pledge period is three years, you may arrange for a longer time period to pay off your pledge. Also, gifts of stock, IRA s and other non-cash donations may be made. Your acts of love and kindness solidify a vibrant future for St. Theresa-Memorial Park. Please be sure to take home a Capital Campaign Prayer card and include it in in your daily prayers. 8 FRESH FLOWERS NEEDED We invite the parishioners of St. Theresa Catholic Church to sponsor altar flowers by choosing a weekend that has special meaning to you. Oftentimes, more than one person finds a certain date important, so flowers may be given in more than one name on any given weekend. Celebrate a variety of moments: In memory of a loved one In celebration of a wedding anniversary, birthday, baptism or other special event In honor of someone special Our goal is to have a bulletin listing each week celebrating an event in the lives of our parish families (except during Lent). A suggested contribution of $45 per arrangement will help support the weekly cost of altar flowers. Our normal arrangement options are two pedestal arrangements behind the altar, one arrangement in front of the altar, and/or one arrangement in front of the lectern.
