10 ANNUAL MEETING MESSENGERS Each church in Yates Baptist Association should elect its Messengers for the YBA Annual Meeting, to be held Tuesday, October 24, The YBA constitution states in Article II, Section 2. Messengers, the following regarding messengers: Each church shall be represented at the annual meeting of the Association and at any special meeting during the year by messengers who shall be duly elected in the following ratio: a. Three for the first hundred church members or fraction thereof, and one for each additional hundred or fraction thereof, provided that the total number of messengers shall not exceed ten. b. All pastors of affiliated churches shall be recognized as messengers, in addition to those specified above, and shall not count towards the maximum of ten messengers for each affiliated church. The two elected Associational Board members shall not count toward the maximum number for each affiliated church. 9

BOYS Trucks & cars (large and small), action figures, model car kits, back packs, throw games, horse shoe sets, basketballs, footballs, helmets, handballs, balls and bats, games, puzzles. (NO GUNS PLEASE.) BABIES TO 4 YEARS Pull toys, squeeze toys, bath tub toys, small riding toys, educational toys, plastic buggies and tricycles, picture books, rattlers, clothes, linens, bottles, etc. STOCKING STUFFER S FOR ALL AGES Jacks, marbles, gum, whistles, mini-games, balloons, small cars/trucks/air planes, candy canes, flash cards. CHILDREN S CLOTHING (Boys & Girls) Must be new items: Pants, shirts, underwear, sweaters, dresses, caps, gloves, socks, shoes, coats or jeans. 12 CHRISTMAS TOY STORE 2017 Volunteers, new toys, books, games and clothes are needed for the 2017 Christmas Toy Store Ministry. Bibles and other items to complete the store will come from monetary gifts. Volunteers will receive toys at Grace Baptist Church on Monday, November 27 through Friday, December 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Please take items to Grace Baptist Church at designated times. (Deliver to rear of church -- look for Christmas stockings on the lattice.) TOYS MAY BE LEFT AT THE YBA RESOURCE CENTER AT OTHER TIMES. (2100 CHAPEL HILL ROAD, DURHAM, NC 27707) Qualifying low-income parents are invited each year to purchase items through the store. These items are sold at nominal prices. The money is used in crisis ministry. Why charge? Many shoppers are recipients of crisis ministry. They want to have a part in helping someone else. Also, parents want and need to have a tangible part in providing for their children at Christmas. We believe that this is every parent s desire. The Christmas Toy Store Ministry provides this opportunity. Counselors share the Gospel with all who shop. Families receive Bibles and other materials. Each year, we have found ways to provide ministries to families thoughout the year. 15 PRISON MINISTRY at ORANGE COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY HILLSBOROUGH, NC Prison Ministry Guidelines Prison Location: Orange County Correctional Facility 2110 Clarence Walters Rd, Hillsborough NC On Site Contact: Chaplain Jerry Love Yates Association Contact: Frank Shipp or Ministry Times: Third Sunday of each month, 7:00pm 8:30pm. (be there by 6:45pm) Ministry Location: Peace Center Building located to the left as you enter from Churton Street (Highway 86) Attendees must be adults, 21 up. Male and female may participate if they have no Felony record or serious Misdemeanor convictions and are neither immediate family members nor on a visitation list of anyone who resides at OCC. Picture ID is required of each participant No cell phones or electronic devices are allowed inside. Ministry teams from churches can be as few as 1 and up to many.
