2 Dear Sister Columbiettes, May President s Message Thank you ladies for your support and participation in the North Carolina State Council of Columbiettes State Convention this past month. It was a very enjoyable night with everyone at the Knight s RSVP Bingo and it was pleasure to see all our Sister Columbiettes (attending the Convention or not) at the event that night. Please congratulate Sister Columbiette Maggie Herbstritt on her election to State Council Vice President! And please also congratulate Sister Columbiette Kathy Thomas on her election to State Council Treasurer! State Convention (and Chapter Meetings) are a great opportunity to meet and talk with our Sisters from other Auxiliaries. We all share ideas and are available for brainstorming and suggestions. I would guess that a majority of our events come from hearing about something another auxiliary was doing (or exploring) and making our own twist on it! As for twists, it is unfortunate that our Spring Shopping Extravaganza was cancelled for May 5. However, (and a huge Thank You to Linda Arrigo!) we will be holding the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza this year on Saturday, November 3. We may only have two more meetings left for this year but we still have a lot going on! Both the Knights and Sister Columbiette Suzanne Seth are collecting OTC medicines, hydrogen peroxide and bandage wound supplies for the Mission Trip to Cameroon with Fr. Peter at the end of May. The collection bins are in front of Vicki s office and in the copy room. Please consider donating what you can. Save the Date: In early June we will welcome home, Sister Columbiette SISTER Kelly Thomas. We will be holding a reception in conjunction with the Knights after the 9:15 am and 11:00 am Masses on Sunday, June 3, 2018 for anyone who would like to stop by and say Hi and catch up. (Please join us not only to chat but to keep refining those punch and cake serving skills!) I have to thank each one of you for all you have done this year especially in these last two months. I am currently working on reports for both the Western Chapter Meeting and our application for the Mary J. Magnan Award and I am shocked at all we do. I could not have imagined back in September that this is what I would be writing - all the events, all the charity support... Without you, we would not be the Columbiettes we are today. Thank you for your contribution to and support of our Organization. I will share it all with you in the coming months (once I finish it all!) Sincerely,

Event will be held on Saturday, June 9 th. Anne Parra has been soliciting attractions for bunco prizes, door prizes and possibly a few silent auction items. This will be very similar to the event that was held in January, but some additional members are needed for the planning committee. It s Christmas Time Again! Ladies mark your calendars for our Columbiette Christmas Brunch. This year our annual Christmas get together will be at Bermuda Run Country Club on Saturday, December 1 st from 10:00am-12:30pm. Please plan to arrive between 10:00am-10:15am with the buffet to begin at 10:30am. Menu will be a full buffet breakfast. Price per person is $21.00, which includes tax and gratuity. More details to come in the fall so stay tuned.
