Transformational Ministry Vision Trip to Treasure Valley, ID Spark, Laurie, and board president Pat Schwartz spent 3 days at sister affiliate Church Tours & Love INC Sundays Love INC Sundays: Libertyville Covenant, Gurnee Community Church, Bethel Lutheran Redemptive Compassion class: 26 people attended at Libertyville Covenant or office training May Volunteer Orientation: 9 new people explored ways to serve how God wired them

7 Upcoming Ministry Opportunities Classes RSVP to Spark at or x114 July Volunteer Orientation Learn more about Love INC and begin the process to plug-in and serve Saturday July 16, 9-10:30am at Love INC office Bridges Out of Poverty Explore hidden rules of poverty, middle class, and wealth At Bethel Lutheran Church, July 6, 13, & 20 6:30-8:30pm Servant Needs Load it up! We need to further clear the warehouse to make way for other ministry plans 6-8 people needed on Sat May 28, 9:30-11:30am Donuts & fellowship provided!

8 Servant Needs Warehouse Organizer Help needed any day of the week Keep furniture donations organized, do light cleaning &/or repairs Serve 2-3 hours on 2-3 days per week Receptionist Help needed Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri Loving listeners answer the phones & provide a comforting ear to those in need Serve 1 day / week, from 9:30a 1:15pm (or some portion of that time) Intake Ministers Clearinghouse is 4-6 weeks behind in engaging families! Loving listeners reach out to our clients, learn more about their situation, and offer encouragement and prayer Serve 1 day / week, from 9:30a 1:15pm Prayer Coordinator Help us share prayers & praises through our network Volunteer leader to organize and facilitate Love INC prayer activity and events Home Visit Teams Scout team for furniture ministry Minister, measure, & verify home situation prior to furniture delivery Team of 2-3 people, serving 1x/month for 4 hours (day is flexible)

9 Annual Dinner & Auction Dinner/Auction on Friday October 28 is our biggest fundraiser of the year Ticket prices same as last year $500/table of 8 or $65/individual ticket New location for 2016! Holiday Inn Gurnee (by Gurnee Mills) Lots more space for guests and silent auction items Team members needed! 11 Following up from February What one learning or nugget did you work on within your church since our Feb meeting? Q: How does your church communicate? A couple of the responses Memorial UMC: Brought Love INC to missions board, resulting in May s special collection to be donated to Love INC of Lake County Christ Church Highland Park: Newly forming a missions board for their location, Love INC to be represented there.

13 Small group discussion Why Love INC? - Because we serve In the Name of Christ - Meets a need for churches- sharing wisdom, experience in serving our community - Empower & restore hope - Eternal benefit of serving In the Name of Christ - Love INC has the spiritual gift of administration to help the front-line - Those that like to do front line don t always love spreadsheets! - So churches don t need to reinvent the wheel each time - What it can do for the churches- help to serve more efficiently and together - It is about the change in me - I do it to honor God - Helps the church get outside it s own walls - No one (person, church, organization) can do it alone!
