By Jack Brandt, Counseling Pastor As we begin our journey down the Road To Financial Freedom, I have been reminded of the Biblical view concerning our finances. Paul puts it best in Philippians 4:19, And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Let s face it.money is a reward. Money is what you receive when you help someone else achieve their goal. Money is very important. You cannot live in your home without money. You cannot provide for your needs or the needs of your family without money. Your automobile costs money. Your clothes cost money. And as the Counseling Pastor I know first hand that one of the major causes of marital problems is money. The fact is that Jesus also recognized the importance of money. Did you know that 20% of His teachings and conversations were about talents, money and finances? Below are some great points to ponder as we press forward in our understanding of the Biblical view of money: Jesus did not want you to worry about finances. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink;. Matt. 6:25-26 God loves to see His people prosper. Let the Lord be magnified, who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. Psalm 35:27 God wants to reveal ways for you to profit and succeed financially. I am the Lord thy God who teaches you to prosper. Isaiah 48:17 Jesus showed people how to get ahead financially. Through His parables about using your gifts and talents, we learn investing. Matthew 25:14-23 Remember, your future starts with whatever is in your hand today. Nothing is too little to multiply. Everything is reproductive. Everyone has received something from God capable of reproducing. Are you ready to rely upon the Lord for every financial need? If your answer is yes, then join us on the Road To Financial Freedom!

4 Cityserve Compassion Network: Volunteer Opportunities Cityserve Compassion Network needs your help. We need volunteers for: donating a wheelchair, tutoring children in Fremont, grades 5 through 9; attending Newark Swim Academy classes with a client on Mondays and Fridays between 12:30-2:30pm for 30-minute sessions; transporting a blind woman to the Dutch Consulate; donating cleats, a baseball shirt, a cup, and $65 fee for little league; translating legal paperwork from English to Japanese; assisting single mom in getting a smog test; donating washer and dryer, dining room table with 4 chairs; sofa; backpacks; blankets; pots and pans; dishes; cutlery; jeans size 12 for boy; lamp; desk; men s bike; microwave oven; food processor; toaster; blender; double or queen bed; newborn diapers; baby wipes; stroller; clothing and shoes for children ages 8,7,5, and 3; size 5 tennis shoes for 13 year-old girl; and size 6 tennis shoes for 9 year-old boy. Homeless Donations We are currently collecting donations for the homeless living in the Fremont TriCities Area and San Francisco. If you would like to donate, the donation bin is located near the Atrium Welcome Center. There is a list located at the box regarding what is needed. We re an FCC adult small group that meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 8am in the Prayer Room. Arise prays for our worship services and ministry programs happening on Sunday mornings while also fellowshipping with each other over coffee and breakfast. There s a special joy in arriving early to our Father s House for fellowship with purpose! Is it simply the academics offered to stimulate the brain of individuals who attend a series of classes? Is it the training of individuals so that a particular response can be promptly evoked? Or is school more? Is school meant to build into the lives of children and families? Is school meant to provide Larry Lopez counseling for families in need? Is school meant to provide consistent spiritual, moral and character development? If school is meant to develop the whole child, then I would take that to mean the whole family. How can a child develop fully if the family unit is neglected through the educational process? Not only does a school need to act to meet the needs of the child, but it also must provide avenues to meet the needs of the family. We at Christian Community Schools meet this challenge head on as we balance an excellent academic education for each child while committing resources and ministries at Fremont Community Church to meet the needs of the entire family. Please pray for us as we conclude this school year and begin preparing for next year. Join us for a game of basketball and competition! YOGA CLASS 7PM // ROOM 22 Yoga! Come and build strength, improve flexibility, balance, and relieve stress and tension through yoga poses. All that is required is a yoga mat or something similar, a towel, and a bottle of water.
