16 To the Most Illustrious Grand Master William F. Curtis and the members of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of the State of New Hampshire. Report of the Grand Lecturer I wish to thank the Most Illustrious Grand Master for allowing me to serve him in this capacity. I attended a Table Council at Davenport Council in Portsmouth, New Hampshire Honoring the Most Illustrious Grand Master. I was unable to be present for the visitations of various Councils this year due to other Commitments. I received Deputy Reports from Companions John Clark and H. Stephen Wood. The report of Companion Wood was a glowing report on the Royal Master Degree done at Israel Hunt Council. Companion Clark reported that Evening Star Council was excellent in all respects, While Columbian/St. John Council attempted to open their Council and do the work of The evening but they needed some help. Horace Chase Council had a struggle with their opening but the degree work was Excellent. We must be available to render assistance to our Councils when they are in need. Many are struggling with the opening and closing of their councils due to a lack of attendance. We should try to attend meetings throughout the state as a sideliner so that we are ready to help. Respectfully Submitted, Roger A. Douillette, Sr. Grand Lecturer Year

That the Grand Council and the Super Excellent Master Degree Team continue to confer this degree on all our Council Companions. We need to have more FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I am elected to a second term, it will be my goal for the Year. There are times to be serious and respectful, but we need to make more time to have fun, in that vane I plan to form a new committee. Last but by no means least, to Marci Morris, my lover, my wife, my companion and my best friend, I Love You. When I completed my year as Grand Commander as payment I took her to Hawaii, I don t even want to think what this one will cost. It was a crazy year and I think, maybe my head wasn t in the game, I apologize for not being more visible this year, and if elected to a second term will strive to be out there more. Finally I am saddened by the loss of Olivet Council this year, but looking forward to the new relationship with the companions of Davenport Council. Respectfully and Fraternally Submitted: William F. Curtis Most Illustrious Grand Master ( ) 32

33 REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE To the Most Illustrious Grand Master, Grand Officers, and Companions of the Grand Council Cryptic Masons of New Hampshire: Your Finance Committee met with our Grand Treasurer, R.I. Companion Rodney A. Robinson, on 30 April 2009 for the purpose of auditing the Grand Council financial records for the past fiscal year. We found the financial records in excellent condition. We also reviewed the past and current investments of our Grand Council. We find that our current investments have been carefully made and should provide increased returns in the near future. Your Committee has also prepared a recommended budget for the ensuing year, , which is hereby presented for acceptance. We recommend continuing efforts to reduce expenditures, with emphasis on the following: continue to assist in making our annual Assembly financially self-supporting; continue to arrange for publication of our annual proceedings via compact disk, thereby saving the cost of printing and mailing booklets; that since the Grand Commandery paid the entire 2008 premium cost for the new annual Fidelity Bond covering all York Rite Bodies ($176.00), which is greatly reduced from past years, and since our Grand Chapter has paid the premium for 2009, that our Grand Council should consider paying the premium for 2010 (the premium is guaranteed for three years). This will allow no bills to be sent to the local Bodies for this coverage during the entire threeyear period. We thank the Grand Council for the privilege of serving as the Finance Committee. Respectfully submitted: Robert L. Sutherland, Jr., MIPGM, Chairman Dwight V. Meader, MIPGM Gerald F. Buehrer, PTIM 4 May
