4 FROM THE EAST Brethren, It has been a fantastic year sitting in the East. With the help of the craft we have made many positive improvements to the building. I am truly grateful that I was given the privilege of serving you this year as I was able to celebrate my 20th year in Masonry, holding the highest position a Brother can have in his blue lodge. I look forward to working with all the new brothers in the future, and enjoying my time watching them grow. Congratulations to our SW being elected to serve as your next Master. I know he will do a wonderful job. As always if needed I will be available for any degrees because I truly think we have made great strides in the past few years and hope to help in any way I m needed. 5 FROM THE WEST Greetings from the West! A lot of great things are happening at your Lodge! Last month we had the honor of Raising Brother Philips, and Brother Rudy Zsanto from Groveland to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. Brother Phillips will give back his Master Mason Catechism at one of our next Stated Communications. We have 3 Candidates that have been elected to receive the Entered Apprentice Degree on 11/26/2018. Please come out and support our new Candidates. We have been enjoying great meals prepared by the Eastern Star at every meeting, and everyone goes into the Lodge full and happy! Come out and be a part of the great things happening at your Lodge! 6 Masonry at Christmas Time Among the core values of Freemasonry, are brotherly love, compassion and charity. There is one additional value that one does not get so easily recognized in this, Hope. Those with little or no Hope often act in desperate ways. When there is no other avenue they will make a financial or personal decision that leads to more difficulties and the further loss of Hope. The current climate in the World can be viewed as a loss of Hope. For many there is a desperation to their situation, they see no way out. For many just looking at social media can cause this same reaction. People, often on both sides of political arguments, feel there is little or no hope, and they begin desperately lashing out. All seems dark and confusing. This should remind us of this time of year. We are literally at the darkest part of the year, there is seemingly no hope from the darkness, when suddenly a light appears in the sky giving hope to all that a child is born in Bethlehem. To make the miracle of Christ's birth become the true beacon of Hope that it is, we must step forward and encourage that Hope. In our lodges and in our communities. We can step up to help that beacon of Hope shine brighter. We can help to bring Hope to the hopeless and perhaps lend a hand to that brother in our life who needs a boost of Hope to get him through the dark times. 6

One, your wishes should be made known to your family or those in charge of funeral arrangements and preferably be in writing. Two, a funeral can only be performed on a Mason in good standing (your dues must be current). Don t make assumptions. Plan ahead today!! 9
