The degree schedule we are working with now IS NOT A FESTIVAL. Please refrain from using this term as it confusing to some. We are scheduling them as best as our degree teams can do them along with the candidate schedules. For Council: Orlando Lodge No.69 at 7PM on August 8th a day before the August 9th Council Meeting. For Commandery: Orlando Lodge No.69 at 7PM on August 15th with the Commandery meeting on August 23rd. The practice sessions have gone very well. It has been a noticeable difference at our convocations, assemblies, and conclaves. I know many of our companions have hectic schedules but it's all possible please attend our practice sessions. On a related note please inform our York Rite in advance, if at all possible, of any upcoming vacations or other conflicts with our dates for meetings or degrees. I emphasize If at all possible as I myself was planning on being at the Chapter degrees in Sanford but instead I had a last minute Family Reunion in Melbourne. Come out and support our new York Rite candidates as they go through their degrees. Council of Select Masters Degrees - 8AM on August 11th, Saturday, at Eola Lodge. 3 Page 3 Orlando Council No. 5 Royal and Select Masters Assemblies held on the second Thursday of each even month (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec) at 7:30 PM Nelson Bonet, Illustrious Master, , travelbonet@gmail.com Greetings Companions: Summer is halfway gone, and all those vacations, mini vacation or pleasure trips, however you want to call it have to come to an end. Therefore now you can come back to our meetings. We need you to be present in all our doings like the old times. Most of the Companions that have been attending are the only Companions I know, come and see the new line of Officers and meet them. They can use your words of wisdom and companionship. The month of May we did not have the quorum to open as we were short one, thus not having enough Companions present. This was an unfortunate event. My personal apologies and I give thanks to all of you that came to Lodge without a meeting. Of the Council Frank Lopez Steward Chaplain Sentinel Would like to see better participation at Our Assemblies, this month the Council meeting on August, 09 and August 11 are the Council Degrees at EOLA, please do your best to attend the meeting, your attendance is important. Currently, we are trying to get everyone to attend practices. Is important for everyone to be proficient with the opening and closing for business thus making a shorter meeting. We will be meeting for practice on Wednesday, August, 08, 7 pm at Orlando 69 Lodge. Please do your best to come. I am calling upon all the companions to come and join us again and see what you have been missing. If you are unable to attend, due to distance or health reasons, please let us know. Promote and support our York Rite, and feel free to contact me in person,by phone, or by if you have any suggestions or want to participate in any activity.
