To The Most Illustrious Grand Master William F. Curtis and the Members of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of the State of New Hampshire. Report of the Grand Lecturer. I wish to thank the Most Illustrious Grand Master for allowing me to serve this Illustrious Body. I attended a Table Council at Davenport Council at Portsmouth, New Hampshire on April 13, The Table Council was a joint meeting with Orient Council of Rochester. There were approximately 26 Companions present. A delirious banquet was served. I was informed that a joint meeting between Horace Chase Council/St. John and Columbian Council at Claremont was held in proper form by Illustrious Walter Sword. A table Council was also held there and a fine meal was enjoyed by all. I spoke with a Deputy Grand Lecturer and inquired about his report. Stated was given to someone else, was unaware that a report was to be sent to the Grand Lecturer. Companions I know that we as York Rite Masons are in a dire position at this time. It is difficult to get our members out too meetings. We are all getting up there in age. But!!!!!! If we all put our best foot in front of each and go that extra mile to help aid and assist our Companions, who have a difficulty getting around maybe we will get much wisdom from their experiences. I wish to express at this time a great appreciation to Companion Brad Alderfer for his hard work and dedication to the Rite. Thru his efforts in performing and arranging mini festivals at Manchester an increase of Companions was made possible. Respectively Submitted, Roger A. Douillette, Sr. M.I.P.G.M. Grand Lecturer Year

PUBLICITY COMMITTEE REPORTS FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE Report of the Committee of Publicity and Public Relations To the Most Illustrious Grand Master, Grand Officers and Companions of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of the State of New Hampshire: The Publicity Committee reports that New Hampshire York Rite is progressing well with several candidates taking the degrees over the year. The recent culmination of several new Sir Knights dubbed at the Commandery Inspections is proof that the Chapters and Councils are doing the preceding degrees. We look forward to continual improvement over the next term. The York Rite News is no longer with us, so we can only depend on Council Trestleboards and ed information about upcoming events. We also have tried to make use of the Web Sites posted on NHYorkRite.com posting Publicity Committee Reports and by adding web sites for our Appendant Bodies as well. The York Rite Council is funding the web site cost and the labor is coming from the Grand Recorder s Office. We also have added a Facebook presence which is still in its infancy. Companion Herbert H. Hutchinson s daily reports of deceased or ill brethren and sisters of our jurisdiction show tireless dedication to the craft. We all thank him for his efforts on keeping us all up to date on our distressed and worthy Companions. My only regret as your Chairman and spokesperson is that not all information is being sent to me for broadcasting over the circuit. This is free information that I will gladly share over net with those seeking such information. I usually have to wait until I read it in a Trestleboard before knowing the information. I would gladly post what any Council would like me to at no cost. Please think of that when making your plans, whether annually or monthly as degree work, etc. is being discussed. Most Illustrious Grand Master, it is a pleasure to serve on this Committee for the Grand Council. Fraternally, Robert D. Steel, PIM Arnold M. Ashley, PGM Dennis A. Sheridan, PGM Chairman 13

GRAND COUNCIL CRYPTIC MASONS OF NEW HAMPSHIRE REPORT of the COMMITTEE ON THE GRAND CONSTITUTION and BY-LAWS COMMITTEE OF REVIEW To the Most Illustrious Grand Master, Grand Officers and Companions of the Grand Council Cryptic Masons of New Hampshire: During the past year your Committee on the Grand Constitution and By-Laws Committee of Review received no requests for changes to the Grand Council Constitution. We did receive a request for review of a By-Laws amendment from Davenport Council No. 5 that would change the number of Stated Assemblies from seven to three each year plus the Annual Assembly (for a new total of four Assemblies each year), and would also change the meeting night for each Assembly from the second Thursday at 7:00 PM to the second Tuesday at 7:00 PM. The Committee recommended approval, and forwarded the request to MIGM William F. Curtis who promptly approved the amendment. We thank the Grand Council for the opportunity to serve as the Committee on the Grand Constitution and By-Laws Committee of Review. Respectfully submitted: Rodney A. Robinson, PTIM, Chairman Robert L. Sutherland, Jr., PMIGM Richard A. Gilbert, Sr., PMIGM 14

REPORT OF THE GRAND RECORDER To the MI Grand Master and Companions of the State of New Hampshire: The 2009 Proceedings have been completed and placed on our web site. CD copies are available for distribution as well. I will do an initial mailing to send out the last 2 years at once to the Jurisdictions that exchange Proceedings with us. I will include a letter to them noting that as they are downloadable from our Web Site, we will encourage them to do that for later editions, or send one copy and let them make their own for whoever needs them. We have had no major expense over the last year, and you will note another year of reduced printing and postage expenses from this Office. I will again ask each Body to make a computer spreadsheet listing of their members with addresses and furnish them to this Office by or snail mail. I would like to see an Annual Copy come in with the Annual Reports. I have not yet received all reports from the Councils and hope that situation will remedy in the next few days. The 15 th of April is the last day before late charges are imposed. It makes it difficult for me to report accurate numbers and completed necrologies for my Annual Report. Zealously yours, Dennis A. Sheridan, MIPGM Grand Recorder NH 17

Report of Unfinished Business To the MI Grand Master and the Companions of the State of New Hampshire: Upon review of the Proceedings of 2009, all unfinished business was satisfactorily concluded. It should be mentioned that the assessment to General Grand Council would go to $1.00 per member as of Sincerely and fraternally, Dennis A. Sheridan, PGM, Grand Recorder 18

DOINGS OF GRAND OFFICERS As of this date, I have received reports from: R. I. John S. Geas, Deputy Grand Master R.I. Robert D. Steel, Grand Captain of the Guard R.I. Harold M. Chase, Grand Principal Conductor of the Works I have not yet received Companion William F. Curtis, Deputy Grand Master, report. R. I. John S. Geas has been very busy attending many visitations within the State of New Hampshire. He attended six (6) out-of-state Conclaves and the Northeast Regional Conference in Baltimore, MD. As the Grand Council s representative, he attended many Rainbow functions including the Grand Assembly and became Dad Advisor for the Derry Chapter and is now a Dad Advisor for the Milford Demolay Chapter. R.I. Robert D. Steel has been very active this year attending many visitations in the State of New Hampshire. Also, he attended the York Rite Annual Picnic, Grand Rainbow Session in Nashua, the Adoniram Council Annual Picnic and the Masonic Week in Alexandria, VA. R.I. Harold M. Chase, Jr. attended many Council visitations and in-state meetings. He became the Past Grand Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star during the Grand Chapter Session of the Order of Eastern Star in Manchester. Also, he attended most of the Grand Chapter and Grand Commandery Inspections. He traveled throughout the state and into nearby states for many functions. Yesterday I received the report by the Most Illustrious Grand Master, Brother William F. Curtis. It was his honor and privilege to welcome to the 149 th Annual Assembly of the Grand Council of New Hampshire the Most Worshipful Grand Master, Brother C. Wayne Libby and the Illustrious Brother Richard W. Elliot, Active Member of the Supreme Council Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, and Deputy of New Hampshire. There were several Grand Representatives appointed from New Hampshire and several Grand Representatives appointed from our sister jurisdictions to New Hampshire. Brother Curtis was unable, at this time, to represent the state of New Hampshire at any of the Grand Council sessions of out-of-state Grand Masonic Annual Assembly meetings. He was able to attend many in-state Masonic meetings and visitations of several different Masonic Orders. He remains very concerned that we get a better handle on our Visitation dates as once they are set there are not many chances to change them and it may affect which vitiations or meetings you can attend. Herbert H. Hutchinson, R.I.P.G.D.M. Member of the Committee 19

That we continue to work with our Grand Royal Arch Chapter and Grand Commandery to promote good harmony in the business of the York Rite. That we support our Grand Lodge and our Most Worshipful Grand Master in every task that he asks us to accomplish as Masons. That, knowing that our membership is derived from the Symbolic Lodge, we should return to our Blue Lodges and let the Brethren know about York Rite Masonry. That the Grand Council and the Super Excellent Master Degree Team continue to confer this degree. Finally Companions we need to get a better handle on our Visitation Dates, Only the MIGM or the Visiting Officer can approve changes to dates Established at the planning session and the program should remain the same, If you need to do Degree work other than what is on the schedule, you need Dispensation from the MIGM. 28

I would have attended more Visitation if changes and confusion Had not kept me in the DARK. IN CONCLUSION I would like to thank the Past Grand Masters, and the other Companions, who are too numerous to list (if I did I forget someone), for all their help this year. Also those Companions of Davenport Council, and Washington Chapter and the Sir Knights of Dewitt Clinton Commandery thank you for your support, encouragement, and friendship this year. Last but by no means least, to Marci Morris, my lover, my wife, my companion and my best friend, I Love You. When I completed my year as Grand Commander as payment I took her to Hawaii, I don t even want to think what this one will cost. It was another crazy year and I think the Councils that had Table Councils had fun I know I did and for those Councils that did not IT WAS YOUR LOSS. Respectfully and Fraternally Submitted: William F. Curtis Most Illustrious Grand Master ( ) 29

2010 GRAND COUNCIL CREDENTIAL COMMITTEE REPORT Your Committee on Credentials reports the following as those members present at this 149 th Annual Assembly of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of New Hampshire: 17 GRAND OFFICERS 09 MOST ILLUSTRIOUS PAST GRAND MASTERS 06 CONSTITUENT THRICE ILLUSTRIOUS MASTERS 05 CONSTITUENT DEPUTY MASTERS 06 CONSTITUENT PRINCIPAL CONDUCTORS OF THE WORK 25 CONSTITUENT PAST THRICE ILLUSTRIOUS MASTERS We thank you for allowing us to perform this duty on behalf of our Grand Council, and we move that this report be accepted as read GRAND COUNCIL CREDENTIAL COMMITTEE Thomas X. Tsirimokos, Chairman 30

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON JURISPRUDENCE To the Most Illustrious Grand Master, Grand Officers, and Assembled Companions Your Committee on Jurisprudence has reviewed your Grand Master s Annual Report and we applaud your dedicated efforts on behalf of Cryptic Masonry in the State of New Hampshire for the past year. The New Hampshire Companions whom you chose for awards this year are well worthy of their awards. You gave me the pleasure of presenting the General Grand Council Youth Award to Companion J. Peter Masterson. Companion Masterson has been involved in our youth programs for many years now and has done so in an outstanding manner. He is truly a man that our youth admire, respect and have much fun with. Jurisprudence was well satisfied with the manner of how you held this year s visitation as Table Councils; however, we still need to mention that the Grand Council Constitution has set rules for Visitations and should be followed to the letter. We, on the other hand, know that your reasoning for this change was to promote closer relationship amongst the members our Grand Jurisdiction. The Table Council is a fun event and we would like to see it continued, but we ask that it be done at a time other than the Official Visitation of Grand Council. Kudos to you, Most Illustrious Grand Master for another successful year in Cryptic Masonry. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this Grand Council for the past year. Zealously, ROBERT L. SUTHERLAND, JR., MIPGM, Chairman RICHARD F. COLE, JR., MIPGM ROGER A. DOUILLETTE, SR., MIPGM 31
