Our chapters are working together to help confer individual degrees and arranging Blue Lodge nights where the Mark Master degree will be conferred. Oakland Council #12 has a Day at the Races and Royal Master degree scheduled for March 28th at Golden Gate Fields - contact Bud Warder for tickets bud@kioskamerica.com. August 1st will be our 3-way reception of our Presiding California Grand Officers. More details to come. Remember all Dias officers are to attend the EBYR meetings every 2nd Monday of the month. At our February practice, our Officers worked on opening and closing the Chapter with our Scribe as High Priest. We have several new members at new positions and I was really impressed with their work. There is always time to refine our work. On March 12, our Chapter will hold our quarterly convocation. Make sure to mark your calendar because I want to see you there. There will be plenty of refreshments, but more importantly, great fellowship. This ends my message for this month. Our first meeting went exceptionally well as we gear up for some upcoming degrees. I will be assembling some degree teams so if you want to get involved with the chapter and the degree work we always have room for more. We have some upcoming events here soon, a Day at the Races is being scheduled, as well as a couple of Blue Lodge nights, where we will confer the Mark Master Degree on Master Masons in our Blue Lodges. Dates will be announced soon. On March 5th we will have another practice, and our stated convocation is on March 19th. Hope to see you all there. First Tuesday, Dinner 6:30p.m.: Stated Conclave: 7:30 PM Masonic Center, 3903 Broadway, Oakland, Greetings Sir Knights, It s February and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. Don t forget to thank your love ones for the happiness they have brought in your life for all these years! Also, February 18 th, Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. It is a season of penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday, through which we attain redemption. Easter Sunday is one of the very important days our Christian organization has to celebrate annually. April is fast approaching and we will have our Annual Inspection with our Inspector SK Bud Warder, KYCH. I would like to thank all the Sir Knights who attended our practice on Tuesday, February 17 th for filling in the position of those who were not present. Even though their current position does not require a lot of participation, they were very much enthusiastic to jump in whenever there is a vacant position and have the opportunity to learn. Actually, this will prepare them in the future since they will be there eventually in higher positions when they continue to be in the line. Also, I would like to thank SK Tony Yuson, PC for being there teaching us and sharing his knowledge. It was a very productive practice indeed. On Tuesday, March 3 rd, we will have our second conclave and hopefully we will get our uniforms and paraphernalia ready for the upcoming inspection.
