1 PHONE: (972) John David Cecil August 19, October 12, 2004 John David Cecil, age 36, of Allen, Texas passed away October 12, 2004, at his home. He was born August 19, 1968, in Garland, Texas to David Vance and Carolyn (Chambers) Cecil. On September 20, 1991, he married Denise Martinez in Rockwall, Texas. Mr. Cecil was the owner of Must C Landscape and of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Denise Cecil; daughter, Emberleigh Carolyn Cecil; father, David Cecil and wife, Sandy of Allen and mother, Carolyn Sickel of Plano, Texas; in-laws, Joel and Rosa Martinez of The Colony, Texas; brother, Steven V. Cecil of Allen; stepbrother, John A. Sickel of Canton, Texas; sisters, Brandy Allen and Jill Cecil both of Plano; step-sisters, Linda Mills of Littleton, Colorado and Kathy Farberow of Allen; grandmother, Francine Cecil of Richardson, Texas; grandfather, John R. Cecil of Covington, Louisiana; and step-grandmother, Shirley Chambers of Richardson. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Sickel; grandparents, Frank Chambers and Harriette Chambers. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John David Cecil Memorial Fund for Emberleigh at the American National Bank, 720 S. WE STILL HAVE THE ANGEL CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT THAT JD GAVE TO JESSICA WHEN SHE WAS ONLY ABOUT FIVE WHICH GOES ON THE TREE EVERY YEAR, AND I ALWAYS THINK OF JD WHEN HE GAVE THAT ORNAMENT TO JESSICA. SO MANY

3 HAPPY MEMORIES WE HAVE WITH JD. IF HE WAS NOT AT OUR HOUSE, JASON WAS AT HIS. JASON, TOO, THOUGHT OF TRUDY AS HIS OTHER MOM. THE TWO LITTLE MISCHIEFS GOT IN TROUBLE ALL THE TIME! JD WOULD COME TO ME, AND JASON WOULD RUN TO TRUDY. I REMEMBER ALL THE CHRISTMAS' WE HAD WITH JUST JD AND JUST OUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY. JD ALWAYS WANTED CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, MASHED POTATOES, GRAVY, HOMEMADE BISCUITS AND OFCOURSE DESERT! ONE CHRISTMAS, THE BOYS GOT INTO THE HABIT OF DIPPING TOBACCO! RON AND I BOUGHT JD AND JASON A BRASS URN TO SPIT IN BECAUSE I GOT SO MAD AT THEM SPITTING IN MY GLASSES, CUPS AND COKE CANS! THEY LOVED THE SPITTING URNS! THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY WAY TOO MANY MEMORIES TO SHARE. I COULD WRITE A BOOK ON WHAT ALL THOSE TWO BOYS GOT IN TO. BUT THEY WERE SO ROTTEN, YOU HAD TO LOVE THEM! JD'S MISCHIEVIOUS SMILE AND BIG HEART ARE TWO OF MY FAVORITE THINGS AMONG MANY, MANY OTHERS. EVEN WHEN THEY DID THINGS THAT BOYS DO, HE WOULD FLASH THAT SMILE AT ME WITH THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES, AND MOST OF THE TIME, I JUST HAD TO LAUGH AT THEM! I LOVED YOU THEN, JD, AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. I AM SO VERY GLAD THAT THE CECIL FAMILY CAME TO JASON AND LORI'S WEDDING. THAT WAS THE LAST TIME ANY OF US SAW JD, WHICH I AM SAD TO SAY. OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN FOR JD, AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY. TRUDY AND I KEPT IN TOUCH, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS WE SHOULD HAVE. WE SPENT MANY, MANY HOURS (YEARS) SITTING AT ONE OF OUR HOUSES DRINKING COFFEE, TALKING, CRYING AND LAUGHING ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE. EACH OF YOU WILL HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL GUARDIAN ANGEL WITH YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES TO HELP YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE. I HAVE PRAYED FOR THIS. YOU ALL ARE IN OUR PRAYERS, AND WE WILL THINK OF THE MOST HAPPIEST MEMORIES OF JD BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY! PRECIOUS MEMORIES AND SOME SAD MEMORIES

We also give thanks to Christ Jesus for his love for John David and the inspiration that John gave through his life. His dedication to his family in every time of need. His life touched more than you or he can ever know. Father Ted was very impressed with the comments from his peers and those he was able to speak with. He reported that he was also very impressed with the strength of the family and that was in itself a big tripute to J.D. Through your love of him and the obvious spirituality of John himself; our prayers will be for your healing in his absence, but feel assured you will have him always through the people you would never expect that will tell you how they knew him and how he touched their lives.
