3 Serving, Giving, and Growing WINGS SHOE DRIVE Get ready, because the Deacons Shoe Drive for WINGS (Women In Need Growing Stronger) is just around the corner. The deacons are excited to sponsor the fifth annual Shoe Drive to provide new shoes for the children supported by WINGS. Wearing spiffy new gym shoes the first day of school is like a rite of passage. With your help, we would like to make sure the children at WINGS don t feel left out on that first day back to school. With your generous support, we can help those children start the school year out on the right foot. Look for our table and the Shoe Tree in the Narthex during the month of July. Contacts: Lynn Eischen, , or lynneischen@yahoo.com, or Debbie Rowells, or r.rowells@comcast.net Weird Animals Vacation Bible School July / 9:00 am Noon Register Online at fpcah.org Preschool registration is now closed. Next week we will begin accepting donations of nonperishable food items for the daily snack and materials for the VBS stations. Thanks for helping! Contact: Katy Allen, katyallen@fpcah.org ONLINE GIVING AT FIRST PRES Did you know you can safely give your offerings through our website? You can access this powerful, secure (SSL) tool right on the Home page at fpcah.org. You can make one-time gifts or recurring gifts; select the fund to contribute to (operating expenses, memorial gifts, or special funds); and manage your scheduled giving (e.g., weekly, every two weeks, monthly, etc.), selecting the day of the week for payment and choosing your start and stop dates. You can also choose your payment method (credit, debit, or electronic funds transfer). It s easy to get started. Just visit our website and click on Online Giving. FLOWERS IN WORSHIP Presbyterian Women s Flower Committee accepts donations for flowers for the Chapel and Sanctuary services throughout the year. These donations celebrate or honor special occasions or loved ones. After worship services, a deacon delivers these flowers to members who are unable to attend worship, allowing a chance to visit, drop off a bulletin, and leave lovely blooms. This caring ministry is much appreciated. Please consider making a contribution. Order forms are available at fpcah.org/ forms or outside the first-floor church offices, near the elevator. ORDERS FOR INSCRIBED BRICKS DUE Inscribed bricks in the Memorial Prayer Garden honor loved ones and friends, living or deceased, in a beautiful setting. Inscribed bricks require a donation of $50 for two lines of 12 characters and spaces or a donation of $65 for three lines of 12 characters and spaces. Orders are due by tomorrow, June 23, for installation this fall. Late orders will be ordered next year. Forms are available in the form rack by the first-floor church offices or at fpcah.org/forms. Return your completed order form and attached check to the church office. Contact: Betty Launer, or blauner2@comcast.net

Continuing with work that was begun last fall, additional maintenance-free siding will be installed around the exterior of the church.
