Prayer request for Sandy Wilson, wife of SK Dave Wilson Please pray for Sandy Wilson, wife of Dave Wilson who was diagnosed with breast cancer on Good Friday. UPDATE: Thanks to all my Brother Knights and their families for your prayers. The surgery was successful and went smoothly. Sandy will see the Oncologist on June 12 to determine post operative treatment. Dave Prayer Request for the Repose of SK Donald J. Carrier SK Donald Carrier of Council 5163 and Bishop Bradley Assembly 626, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 after a sudden illness. The wake and services were held on Saturday, June 17,2017. Our condolences to his wife, Lise and family Page 2 of 9

3 NH Right to Life Petition No More Tax Dollars to Abortion Providers On June 21, the Executive Council voted 4 1 to approve contracts with Planned Parenthood of New England and The Equality Center in Concord to the tune of $440,000. Sadly, only Executive Councilor Dave Wheeler voted NO on this contract. Executive Councilors, Joe Kenney, Russell Prescott, Chris Pappas, and Andru Volinsky voted YES. More future funding will be requested of that you can be sure. And, NHRTL would like to show solidarity in our STOP FUNDING ABORTION campaign. NHRTL believes it is way past time to say NO to our hard-earned taxpayer dollars being sent to abortion providers. Private businesses should support themselves and the taxpayer should not be forced to subsidize abortion activities. Period. If you feel strongly that Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers should NOT be receiving our tax dollars, we ask you to sign this petition and share with others to do so as well. NHRTL will then turn this petition over to Governor Sununu to demonstrate NH citizens do not approve of this public policy. Please, take a moment and sign this petition. 5 KCIC Program Announcement The 2017 Keep Christ in Christmas (KCIC) Program The 2017 KCIC program documents are now available on the NH State Council Web Site. There are eight (8) KCIC documents available to provide you all of the information needed to begin your 2017 KCIC Program in your council. NOTE: In order to read and download the KCIC documents you must create an account with a password on the NH State Council web site. Click on blue tab at top left "Main Menu" Click on "Forms Directory" Click on "Keep Christ in Christmas" Note: Please keep in mind that the KCIC Chairman nomination form and order forms must always be ed to me in MS Word and not a pdf. A reminder that the 2017 KCIC Assortment Kits are discounted until September 25, 2017, so don't delay, order your kit as soon as possible! Only one discounted kit per council. 6 Letter from Jane Cormier upcoming Right To Life Programs Hope all is well. There are a couple of upcoming events I wanted to pass by you... The first one is a New Hampshire Right-to-life petition to begin a push back campaign on funding abortion clinics here in New Hampshire. Our goal is to get thousands of people to sign this petition and then present to Governor Sununu. Secondly, I am putting together a performance with Northeast Catholic College in Warner New Hampshire to bring a concert version of an opera called Mary Magdalene on July 22nd. This is her feast day and it's going to be just a beautiful event complete with mass service, lunch, and then concert. I am hoping that this event will have lots of people attend and was hoping perhaps you could help us get the word out. There is no ticket fee for this performance although we will ask for a donation at the end. I am attaching the links for these endeavors at the end of this . No rest for the weary. ;-) I hope your summer is going great. Thank you very much, for all you do! Jane C. Jules-Massenet Important Safe Environment Policy Worthy Grand Knight, The Knights of Columbus continually strives to provide a safe environment for all young people participating in Knights of Columbus-sponsored youth activities. With this in mind, the Order s Board of Directors recently enacted the following policy: VOTED, that all Knights of Columbus-sponsored youth activities shall require the presence of at least one member, typically the council s youth director, who has been screened and trained through the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Program. As it is the policy of the Knights of Columbus that all council youth directors are required to be screened and trained in accordance with the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Program, it is expected that the council s youth director be present at all such council-sponsored youth activities. Council youth directors and/or other members screened and trained in accordance with the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Program, in consultation with their grand knight, shall ensure that all Page 6 of 9

7 Knights of Columbus Safe Environment policies and procedures are observed at all Knights of Columbus-sponsored youth activities....voted, that all Knights of Columbus - sponsored youth activities shall require the presence of at least one member, typically the council s youth director, who has been screened and trained through the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Program. Please do not delay in making arrangements for your candidates. The Degree will be cancelled unless enough candidates are registered by the Friday immediately preceding the scheduled date. The Degree Team reserves the right to limit the class size. The dress code is suit jacket and tie with appropriate footwear for all candidates and spectators. The principle of this degree is Charity, so let your council show their enthusiasm and support for these candidates by their attendance at this First Degree. All Knights who are Spectators must present a valid membership card in order to be admitted to the Degree Ceremonial. Each attending council must bring the following: Council Constitutional Rolls unsigned by candidate. Form 100. A membership kit consisting of pin, rosary and booklet These Men They Call Knights. 10 New Hampshire State Council Knights of Columbus Summer Quarterly Meeting Notice Sunday, July 23, 2017 About the Meeting: I am pleased to announce the 2017 Summer Quarterly Meeting, to be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 being hosted by Knights of Columbus, Concord Council #112. Meeting location (St. Peter s Parish Center) 135 North State Street, Concord, NH Lunch will be offered by the host Council #112. The cost of the meal is $8.00 per person for an incredible complete Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner with Salad, rolls and butter, as well as coffee, drinks and dessert. You must RSVP due to the number of supplies needed to provide to you at each program. We do not want anyone to be left out so an RSVP IS A MUST as we will not have any extra supplies that day. There must be at least 10 people for the Ladies Program or it will be cancelled. If the program is cancelled the State Warden, Tim Kingsley, will send out a notice a week prior. Nashua, NH On Monday, July 24, 2017 From: 8:30 am to 8:00 pm Come to honor Our Lady of Fatima and to hear the Statue Custodian, Mr. William Sockey, explain how her important Fatima message applies in our American culture today in securing God s blessings on our Country and the whole world. At least two Knights (in jacket and tie) are requested to stand watch with Our Lady at all times during the visit.
