2 + PRAYER REQUESTS + Brothers: Please keep in your thoughts, all of our brother Knights and their families, that need our prayers, remember also all our religious, Priests, Brothers and Sisters, and our active duty military personnel in harm s way. Brian Tyrell s Son and Family needs Prayers (8/6/2017) Please keep my son and our family in your prayers. A week and a half ago my son ended up in the ER and was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic. We're working on getting him set up with using insulin and that seems to be working out okay for the most part, but the doctor visits, etc. have certainly strained our schedule. Hopefully things will settle out again as the routine gets established

3 KCIC Program Announcement The 2017 Keep Christ in Christmas (KCIC) Program The 2017 KCIC program documents are now available on the NH State Council Web Site. There are eight (8) KCIC documents available to provide you all of the information needed to begin your 2017 KCIC Program in your council. NOTE: In order to read and download the KCIC documents you must create an account with a password on the NH State Council web site. Click on blue tab at top left "Main Menu" Click on "Forms Directory" Click on "Keep Christ in Christmas" Note: Please keep in mind that the KCIC Chairman nomination form and order forms must always be ed to me in MS Word and not a pdf. A reminder that the 2017 KCIC Assortment Kits are discounted until September 25, 2017, so don't delay, order your kit as soon as possible! Only one discounted kit per council. 4 Spirited Theology Brother Knight Dr. Paul Murano, a member of St. Boniface Council #11907 in Nashua and professor of theology at Rivier University, will speak on the milestone encyclical Humanae Vitae at a Spirited Theology gathering this Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Radisson Hotel in Nashua. Brother Murano will share insights on how it has shaped Catholicism and its relevance in today's world. Spirited Theology is a monthly gathering of local Catholics for food, fellowship, and growth in faith. The gatherings take place the second Tuesday of every month. The event opens at 6 pm and talks begin at 7. All are welcome. If you have any questions please spiritedtheology@gmail.com.

5 AUGUST Monthly Pilgrimage to shrine St. Joseph The Worker 8/6/2017 My Brothers In Christ, I invite you to join the Catholic Men of St, Padre Pio as we make our monthly pilgrimage to the Shrine of St. Joseph the Worker in Lowell Massachusetts this Saturday, August 19, This is a great chance to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, preparing you to approach the Lord through the Sacrament of the Eucharist without the stain of serious sin on your soul. Remember that all men sin and that none of us are worthy on our own to approach the Body and Blood. This is why He has given us the Sacraments in order that we might be saved. ORDO: 9:00AM Carpool Concord area and North IHM parkling lot, 180 Loudon Rd., Conocrd 9:30AM (optional): Breakfast at Theo's Restaurant in Manchester for all interested. 10:30AM: Depart Theo's for the Shrine (we encourage car pooling) 11:00AM: Arrive at Shrine 101:00AM - 12:00PM: Opportunity to make a good Sacramental Confession. The OMI Father's who run the shrine provide 2 confessors at a time from 9AM - 1PM every Saturday. It is their proper mission to the people of the area and they are very good at what they do. 6 Upcoming Degree Exemplifications ALL FIRST DEGREES: Please contact First Degree Team Captain as soon as possible to inform him of candidates and number of spectators. Please do not delay in making arrangements for your candidates. The Degree will be cancelled unless enough candidates are registered by the Friday immediately preceding the scheduled date. The Degree Team reserves the right to limit the class size. The dress code is suit jacket and tie with appropriate footwear for all candidates and spectators. The principle of this degree is Charity, so let your council show their enthusiasm and support for these candidates by their attendance at this First Degree. All Knights who are Spectators must present a valid membership card in order to be admitted to the Degree Ceremonial. Each attending council must bring the following: Council Constitutional Rolls unsigned by candidate. Form 100. A membership kit consisting of pin, rosary and booklet These Men They Call Knights. A First Degree membership card signed by the Grand Knight and Financial Secretary. Please contact the First Degree Team Captain if you have any questions. 15 NEW HAMPSHIRE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS EXEMPLIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT August 02, 2017 TO: Grand Knights, Financial Secretaries, and Membership Directors FROM: NHKC Ceremonials Chairman REF.: Exemplification Opportunity State Deputy Glenn Camley is pleased to present an exemplification of the Formation Degree and Knighthood Degree of the Order, sponsored by District 12 and Council Date: Saturday September 23, 2017 Time: 9:00 am Where: Sacred Heart Church, 2 Hough St, Lebanon, NH Formation (2 nd ) Degree Details: Registration for the 2 nd Degree begins at 9:00am. Candidates staying for the 3 rd degree may also register at this time as well. Candidates for the Second Degree must be registered and in the antechamber by 9:30am. The 2 nd Degree will begin promptly at 10am. Each candidate must present his valid First Degree travel card. Sponsor Councils are required to provide a signed Second Degree travel card for distribution during the ceremonial. Proper attire for the ceremonial is jacket and tie for both candidates and spectators. In order to gain entrance the candidate must present his valid SECOND DEGREE travel card. Councils are required to provide a check for $10 per candidate and a signed copy of a Third Degree travel card at the registration table. Checks must be written to NHKC with Lebanon 3rd Degree on the memo line. Proper attire for the ceremonial is jacket and tie for both candidates and spectators.
