With my prayers, GRAND KNIGHT S REPORT Fr. Patrick Bénéteau Director of Vocations & Seminarians Diocese of London Brothers: The annual banquet had a great turnout. For that night I have so many thanks to hand to Deirdre & Frank - great soup made for the meal, Chuck Roy for helping with all the awards and mailing out to the council, Paul Sylvester for letters made up, Kevin for moral support that night, Jeff Ostrow for being the MC to ladies auxiliary and Diane King for centerpieces, Laura, Evan and Julia for the fabulous meal, Squires and Squirettes for serving us and to Rose Renaud for all the work done on tables and seating plan and to the Church bulletin. THANK YOU ALL!!! To all the award winners that night - Rose Renaud & Marcella Martin were our Citizens of the year, Len Paquette Knight of the year, Cathy & Robin Beaune Family of the year, Tyler Ostrow Squire of the year, Paige Jimmerfield Squirette of the year and Tritian Renaud and Alex & Andrew Meloche our youth volunteers of the year. Christmas is coming at us fast - Kids Christmas party December 10-11:00 AM breakfast. KC Turkey & Basket Bingo December 10, doors open at 5:30 pm - come out to support this - proceeds to go Squires, Squirettes and St. Vincent de Paul. Condolences go out to the Alvin Grondin Family on the passing of Alvin a husband, father, grandfather and brother Knight and also to the Bernard Meloche family on the passing of Bernard a husband, father, grandfather and brother Knight. A new year is coming - lets get more Knights to sign up. Free throw competition is coming in January so watch out for that date for the kids. In closing from my 1 NOTE!!!! Some of you may be thinking that this notice has been in for a few months now and you would be right!! But we are still looking for HELP!! We can fit you in to agree with what is happening in your busy life!! DO WHAT YOU CAN!!! Evan is looking at setting up a team of people to help out at lunches during the week from 11:30 till 1:30PM. It has been really busy and impossible for the bar tender to keep up so people such as Dennis (Dennis works midnights and should be sleeping) have jumped in at the last minute to help out. If we can get a number of volunteers a schedule can be worked out in order to spread out the time for all involved. Your help is appreciated. November was a great month here at the hall. We hosted Paying Cash and a few small parties. The 76th K of C #2844 Anniversary Banquet was a great success. A few events coming up are The Fish Fry on Dec 1 st, Members Christmas Party on Dec 2 nd, and the Annual Community Turkey dinner on Dec 17 th for the month of December. Traditionally, we have hosted the annual appreciation dinner on Dec 23 rd but due to such a busy Christmas season, we have moved it tentatively to Feb 3 rd, watch for more details. #2 - SECTION 15 SUB-SECTION V NOW READS: That the Columbian Club meeting be held the LAST Wednesday of each month unless posted in the clubroom PROPOSED CHANGE: That the Columbian Club meeting be held the FIRST Wednesday of each month unless posted in the clubroom #3 - SECTION 16 SUB-SECTION i NOW READS: That any requests for donations must be presented to the Charities Committee meeting prior to the monthly executive meeting.
