1 PHONE: (972) Peter Galbreath Barr January 28, March 11, 2008 Peter Galbreath Barr, age 8, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 11, 2008, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 28, 2000, to Scott Brian and Christina Jean (Bergen) Barr. Peter attended Walker Elementary School and was in Mrs. Trimble s second grade class. He attended church with his family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in McKinney. Peter loved swimming and playing soccer. He loved all animals, especially polar bears, penguins and kangaroos. He also enjoyed playing Pokemon. He is survived by his parents, Scott and Tina Barr of McKinney; brothers, Nathan and Spencer Barr and sister, Lindsey Barr; his dog, Scamp; grandparents, Ann Bergen of McKinney, Mr. and Mrs. James Galbreath of Hickory, North Carolina and Ellen Saputo of Bozeman, Montana; and great grandfather, Ted Clement of Sacramento, California. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Eldorado Parkway in McKinney. Bishop Mark Ogletree will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Memorials Dear Barr Family: We just returned from vacation and found out about Peter. I continued to pray for your family while we were gone (not knowing what was happening), but the Lord knew so I asked for Him to minister in which ever way He knew it was needed. This is all so sad & hard to fathom. You have all been in our thought for so long. Such a beautiful, precious family. I wish there was a magic formula to soothe your aching hearts. It was obvious to us that Peter had inherited his daddy's wonderful warped sense of humor, and I am sure all the Barr children are similarly afflicted. What few times I have shared with the Barr family were always so enjoyable due to that incredibly great humor. Whenever possible, try to laugh all you can and look for the fun in everything. As part of the DIPG Warriors he will be missed so very much. Yet, there is joy that is earthly journey has ended and he is free and whole once again. It is amazing to me to read all of the thoughts coming from those who never had the pleasure of knowing Peter

I feel like I do know Peter. He has made an impression on my heart, he is truly an angel and I admire you as his parents. May God Truly hold you in his arms at this time in your life. I do not know Peter or your family; however, the loss of a child is a great one. I have a 9 year old son and just cannot fathom the thought. I was always impressed with Peter s ability to have fun and he made people smile, especially me. I loved seeing his photos with small animals and the funny ways they seemed to always be entertaining him. It was my pleasure to go fishing with him and he showed me what fun fishing can be to a young boy. I am proud and honored to have associated with him during his short sojourn here on Earth. He was always willing to learn, and always raised his hands to participate. My fondest memory, though, will be of the day of his baptism, and how, at the open house, he was able to chow down several drops of tabasco sauce, right from the bottle. He was having fun, and the smile on his face is what I will remember the most. Thanks Peter and Barr family for teaching me and my family so much with this journey. I smiled at him as he learned how to walk down the sidewalk with his dad. I loved his beautiful red hair!! He was really blessed to have such a wonderful family. I wil always remember the cute way he talked and phrased words. For example, one day he came in with a red mark on his face. I asked him what happened. He looked up at me with those bright blue eyes and put his little hand up and said, "I got in a fight with a ladder, and the ladder won." Thank you for sharing him with me.
