Will our religion be driven underground or will we rise up and challenge the unions, illegal voters and our elected leaders, who create social nonsense and exempt themselves from their creation? As Knights and Christians, witness the destruction of our religion and country, we will someday have to rise up and take action. Until then, God is in charge. Our spaghetti dinner fund raiser was fun for all who took part in the cooking. Thanks to fellow Knight's Harry Pellegrin and Human Domangue for showing us how to make a delicious sauce. With left over sauce and gumbo from the cook-off, we will eat well at our meetings! Groceries As I was walking Down life's highway many years ago I came upon a sign that read Heavens Grocery Store. When I got a Little closer the doors swung wide open and when I came through, I was standing inside. I saw a host of Angels they were Standing every where one handed me a basket and said 'my child shop with care'. Everything a human needed is in that Grocery store and what you could not carry you could come back for more. First I got some Patience, Love was in that Same row. Further down was Understanding, You need that Everywhere you go. I got a box or two of Wisdom, And Faith a bag or two. And Charity of Course, I would need some of that too. I couldn't miss The Holy Ghost, it was all over the place. And then some Strength, and Courage to help me run this race. My basket was getting full, But I remembered I needed Grace, And then I chose Salvation for Salvation was for Free I tried to get Enough of that to do for you and me. Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery Bill, For I thought I had everything to do the Masters Will. As I went up the aisle I saw Prayer and put that in, For I knew when I stepped outside I would run into Sin. Peace and Joy were plentiful, the last things on the shelf. Song and Praise were hanging near so I just helped myself. Then I said to the angel 'Now how much do I owe?' He smiled and said 'Just take them everywhere you go.' Again I asked 'Really now, How much do I Owe?' 'My child' he Said, 'God paid your bill A long long time Ago.'

I hope everyone had a truly wonderful Thanksgiving this year. Some of the things I am truly thankful for are my husband, my family, my church family, and my auxiliary family! What are some of the things you are thankful for? Christmas season is here and there are so many different activities going on. We know everyone is busy this time of year but we hope to see you come out and support our Knights and Auxiliary by attending and participating in as many as possible we love to see your smiling faces and hear your beautiful voices! If you cannot join us, please help by donating to this wonderful cause! Light Up For Christ: Is on Tuesday, December 4th at 7 PM. If you can, please come at 6 to help decorate! Children s Christmas Party: If you have not already done so, please return any tickets/money for the Christmas raffle to Sandra Dietz. Caroling: We will begin our caroling adventure at Terrebonne House at 3 PM on December 15th. After singing there, we will go to Heritage Manor. Please Call Gayle or Jean if you need a ride or have any questions. Pot Luck Dinner: The church will be hosting a pot luck dinner for all those who volunteer in any capacity for the church. It will be December 18th in the church cafeteria. Auxiliary Christmas Party: Will be during our December meeting on the 19th in the cafeteria. We have moved up the time by ½ hour so rosary is at 6 PM and party/meeting at 6:30. There will be food and desserts provided and feel free to bring a side dish or snack if you would like. 7 Shopping that all men should do By nature, most men do not like to shop. At the risk of sounding chauvinistic, that inclination seems more likely to drive our wives, daughters, mothers or other females we know. Sure, there are exceptions. Maybe you enjoy trips to the hardware store for a tool to help on a home improvement project. Maybe you re a collector or you like to shop for cars. Maybe you like to find the best deal on the newest high-tech gadget for your living room. When you do decide it s time to make a purchase, if you re like me, you want to get the best value for your money. You want the best customer service possible. Sometimes, this requires lots of research and planning. But one of the most important purchases you can make can be put into motion through a simple meeting with me, a brother Knight. The core product offered by the Knights of Columbus is not glitzy. It s not like a new car or a classic one. It s not like a laptop or a flat screen television. It s not something you can show off to your friends, but you can brag about it. Life insurance is something that everyone needs. 8 The meaning behind the 12 days of Christmas song. From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember. -The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ. -Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments. -Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love. -The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. -The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament. -The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation. -Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership and Mercy. -The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes. -Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. -The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments. -The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples. -The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.
