One of them is Ashok Nagar Post-office on Ashok Pillar Road where a special counter was opened last week to enable customers to recharge mobiles of private telecom service providers. The same counter will offer booking of travel and movie tickets. The new services are being offered through a tie-up with Delhi-based Beam Services. TIMES ASHOK NAGAR - K.K. NAGAR EDITION September 25 - October 1, 2011 You can recharge mobiles in post-office One can now recharge mobiles, both pre and post-paid, of private telecom service providers at the special counter opened last week in Ashok Nagar Post-Office, Ashok Pillar Road. The Post Master told Mambalam Times that the Postal Department has tied up with Beam Services, a Delhi based organization, to offer the facility. A tie-up with BSNL is also planned, he added. Customers can also obtain DTH recharge coupons. All the services offered are free of charge. The Post Master said that those who become members of Beam Service can pay utility bills and shop using the facility as a debit card through SMS. The special counter is open from 9.30 a.m to 4 p.m on all days except Sundays and Government holidays. FREE
