It is an eyesore and causing inconvenience to the pedestrians. I request the traffic officials to take action and remove the vehicle from the spot. N. Sundaravel, Balakrishnan Street, West Mambalam Innovation will draw crowds to Marghazhi vizha Sir, I am a classical music aficionado and look forward to the annual Marghazhi music season which will be commencing shortly. However, over the years, the patronage has been coming down not only owing to the lack of interest of the current generation but also due to the lackluster performances, even by leading artists. What is it that a rasika like me with only an ear for enjoyable music and unaffected by knowledge or the techniques of singing expect each year? We rasikas are bored with the rendition of the same old popular songs year after year. Attention should also be paid to the components of a performance for which Ariakkudi was justly famous. There should be a proportionate blend of a bhajan, a gazal, a tumri and such like fare to keep the audience enthralled. Today s generation wants a variety and innovation and the performers should keep that in mind to attract rasikas. It is also for the organizers of the events to prepare the ground for such music. J. Nagar Process undelivered Aadhar cards before re-issuing new ones Sir, The process of registering Aadhaar Card with LPG distributors has begun. In this connection, a number of persons who have already registered their biometric data are yet to receive their Aadhaar cards. It is understood that a large number of Aadhaar cards could not be delivered as the address printed on them were either incorrect or not traceable. There is a huge pile of such cards in post offices. For such cases, reregistration or re-issue of cards may lead to misuse of the undelivered cards. I request the concerned authorities to first process the undelivered cards before re-issuing duplicate cards and also postpone the process of registration of Aadhaar cards with LPG distributors to avoid any foul play. Bashyam, 3/1A, Ramya Shree Apartments, Manickam Street, West Mambalam Oil companies to launch DBTL scheme soon Sir, As per the govt. notification, oil companies IOC (Indane), HP (HP Gas) and BPCL (Bharat Gas) will be implementing the Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL) scheme from next January. The move is to ensure that the subsidy which is available to domestic consumers does not get misused. At present, a consumer is directly availing subsidized rate on 12 refills in a year. Once the DBTL scheme comes into operation, consumers will have to pay the full value and the subsidy amount will later get credited to their designated bank account. Consumers having Aadhaar cards, should fill in forms 1 and 2 which can either be obtained from the LPG distributor or downloaded from the website Those without Aadhaar cards need to fill in forms 3 and 4. The filled-in forms should be submitted to the bank and the LPG distributor respectively. Nagar No white board bus on 12C route Sir, At present, MTC is only plying deluxe buses on the 12C route. The ticket rates are much higher compared to the white board (ordinary fare) MTC buses. The service is infrequent and hence the buses are often overcrowded. It is a popular route for a number of students, office goers and senior citizens like me who regularly visit temples en route. Nagar Damaged compound wall of Kothandaramar temple tank poses danger A large portion of compound wall of Kothandaramar Temple Tank adjoining Kittu Park (Ellaiamman Koil Street, West Mambalam) collapsed last week. Large cracks have formed in a number of places in the remaining portions of the wall. It poses a grave danger to passersby using the adjoining road. Unwary school children and pedestrians often congregate near the wall for fun and chat. Nagar) had married Hajin in March this year. His mother Shajinisa allegedly used to harass Hajin and also physically abuse her. This led to fights between husband and wife as she wanted to go and live separately. On the night of Nov. 26, Shajinisa in a fit of anger poured boiling water on Hajin who sustained serious burns. Neighbours who rushed in on hearing her screams admitted her in KMC Hospital. On the basis of the statement given by Hajin, police arrested Shajinisa who was at her home and launched a hunt for Hameed. They later came to know that the person who had committed suicide at Egmore Railway Station was Hameed. His body was identified by his mother. More details can be had by calling S.
