Sunday School Teacher Meeting Dig IN The Life of Jesus Wednesday August 17 at 5:30 pm Ever wanted to be part of the teaching staff for Sunday School, but didn t want to commit to every week? It s easy with Dig IN! All material is online or can be printed out as needed. It takes less time to prep, because each class has different blocks you can choose. Classes are divided into grade levels, with two teachers on a rotating schedule. You can teach once a month, twice a month, or each week; the choice is yours. Invite family, friends and neighbors as we worship together in God s outdoor creation! 9000 Paper Cranes August 20th at 7pm 373 Bluff Street DAAC Gallery: the red door behind Monks Kaffee Pub Since 2012 Ora Uzel, our church secretary, has been folding paper cranes. She will have an art installation of 9000 cranes at the Collective Breaths art exhibit for the Dubuque Area Arts Collective (DAAC). This exhibition will also feature the release of Grain Magazine for DAAC, including an article by Ora Uzel on How to Listen. UMW Faith. Hope. Wonderful Wednesdays begin September 14th Getting to Know Each Other Small Group Meetings with Pastor Chuck The SPPRC Committee is facilitating small group meetings so Pastor Chuck can get to know us and we can get to know him. Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock September 13, 2016 Bily Clocks Museum & Antonin Dvorak Exhibit, Spillville, Iowa Marvel at the unique handcarved clocks by brothers Frank and Joseph Bily (bee-lee) some as tall as nine feet. The clocks depict history, art, religion and culture and are covered with hundreds of intricately carved figures. On the second floor of the museum is an exhibit on Czech composer, Antonin Dvorak, who with his family occupied the second floor in the summer of 1893, where he composed his American Quartet and Quintet. For more questions about Dvorak in America, talk with Ora in the office.
