5 TODAY S EVENTS Worship is at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. in Monteith Hall and at 9:30 a.m. outside in front of the Sanctuary, weather permitting. Radio Worship service is broadcast at 11:00 a.m., on WAAM (1600 AM), and on WAAM s website, We welcome Grace Lindvall to the pulpit. Grace spent ten years of her childhood at First Pres while her father Michael was the pastor. She later returned to First Pres for her years at the University of Michigan. Grace is a 2015 graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and has accepted a call to serve Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, as an associate pastor. Children s Ministry Opportunities: Childcare is available for preschoolers, and a combined Sunday School class is offered for children, grades K-5, at 9:30 a.m. Join us for Coffee Hour on the Circle Terrace immediately following this worship service. Enjoy a cup of Fair Trade coffee and a cookie. Cookie bakers are Doris Granum, Marge Higley, and Nancy Fox. Child-friendly, peanut-free purchased snacks are available for children. ANNOUNCEMENTS Communion Food Collection is next Sunday. As we come to the Lord s Table to be fed and nurtured in our faith, we also come to feed others and lend support to those in need. Please bring food donations or financial contributions for Hope Clinic in Ypsilanti. Hope Clinic is a Christian organization that provides compassionate and practical help to those in need. They provide a broad range of services. Please give generously. Mature Singles will not meet for dinner this Friday, July 3. Fair Trade coffee is available for sale in the Church Office during regular business hours. Your purchase supports a living wage for coffee farmers and subsidizes our commitment to serve Fair Trade coffee at all church events. More than good coffee, it s just coffee. First Pres name tags may be ordered online or by contacting the Church Office. The cost is $8.00 for either a magnetic or clip style. Summer ushers are needed. Minimal training is necessary to learn the ropes. Veteran ushers will be on hand to assist and support. To serve as an usher for a service this summer, please Rev. Rogers. 6 What is your child doing July 26 August 1? It s not too late to register for our week at Camp Westminster, a Presbyterian camp on Higgins Lake. Children who have just completed second through eighth grades are eligible. Register on our church website. The American Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by the Deacons is Tuesday, July 14, 2:00 8:00 p.m., in Monteith Hall. Please consider donating. Summer building operating hours are now in effect. First Pres has reduced operating hours June 1 August 31.
