2 WELCOME A note for any visitors among us. We are glad you are here with us! A note about the Lutheran Divine service and what we believe about worship. To us worship isn t so much about what we do, but about what God does for us. We simply respond in prayer and praise to the God who comes down to our level. God comes to forgive us, to feed us with the Word and the sacraments. 3 We offer thanks to God for years of ministry at WLP serving the young, the aged, the sick, the bereaved, the lonely and the stranger. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, being the foundation has provided this ministry amongst us. Pastor Brett will then lead the Belbin Team training session after the Sunday service at St John s. LUTHERAN WOMEN and GUILD SUBSCRIPTION As the year comes to a close those wishing to subscribe to the Lutheran Women magazine and/or the Wodonga Lutheran Women s Fellowship, subscriptions are now due. Lutheran Women $10 Guild Fees $15 Total $25 Please pay Wilma Trabant BEFORE 31 st December 2017 as subs for Lutheran Women need to be forwarded early in January Thank you. NOVEMBER DINEOUT November Dine-out will be held at 12noon on Sunday 26 th November at St Ives on the Causeway. All are welcome to come along. DECEMBER ADVENT 1 - FAMILY DIVINE SERVICE Similar to last year, the December Family Service will be at 6:00pm on Saturday 2 nd December We invite all members to bring finger food (a plate to share) for a 5:00pm fellowship meal which will be followed by the Advent Divine Service at 6 pm. LADIES FELLOWSHIP The Ladies Fellowship are celebrating their Christmas break-up on Wednesday 6 th December at 12noon with a lunch at the Wodonga Golf Club (this is after our meeting at 10:00am). We would love to welcome any others to join us for the lunch. Please let me know if you d like to come for numbers, (although there s sure to be room if you decide late to come. Buy your own meal and there will be an offering for ALWS. Marie Hill

4 GETTING TOGETHER Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us ENCOURAGE one another (and all the more as you see the day approaching). Hebrews 10:25 Getting Together groups will gradually begin to take place as hosts become available. (especially after the Martin Luther 3 series) Time out for busy mums: Sheryl Parsons Knitting/craft: Wilma Trabant Screen time for people: Ps Jaswanth Kukatlapalli Cuppa and Chat: Phill and Susan Edwards Dates, times and phone numbers will be advertised in the weekly bulletin and on the Website, however addresses will be provided upon contacting the host. The aim is to provide opportunities for members and friends to get together, to maintain relationships and to provide encouragement especially once we have moved from the current church location. If you have ideas for groups or would like to host a group, please contact me on Susan Edwards (Getting Together Coordinator) BELBIN TRAINING SESSION The Belbin Team training session will be on this Sunday 26th of Nov after Church service. Pastor Brett will be preaching at St. John's church service providing Biblical basis for team ministry and after a light luncheon (provided). Those who have completed Belbin inventory and are available on the day can stay for the training session (2x 50mins).
