Let us pray together. God of all peoples, your arms reach out to embrace all those who call upon you. Teach us as disciples of your Son to love the world with compassion and constancy, that your name may be known throughout the earth, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. Amen. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, Send her away, for she keeps shouting after us. 24 He answered, I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 He answered, It is not fair to take the children s food and throw it to the dogs. 27 She said, Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters table. 28 Then Jesus answered her, Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish. And her daughter was healed instantly. Sermon The gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, O Christ. We give thanks for musicians, worship leaders, those who prepare the communion table, and all who make our worship express our joy. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer. We pray for our Bishops Susan and Sid, all our bishops, pastors, diaconal ministers, our lay leaders and all in ministry, and our brothers and sisters in Christ around the globe. Help us with our ministries and guide us as we share your word. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer. We give you thanks, O God, for the saints who have deepened our lives for prayer. The Saskatoon Church Curling League wants you to consider joining us on Wednesday nights at 8:45 pm at the Granite Curling Club starting in October. Palliative Care Walk of Memories. On Sunday, August 27 th everyone is invited to participate in the annual Palliative Care Walk of Memories to remember loved ones who have died and to support Palliative Care Services. As well, the Walk of Memories offers an opportunity to connect with others who have experienced the loss of a loved one. There is no cost to participate.
