This could bring more poverty for our families, but we have faith in God that all will turn out well. We hope to win the mayoralty in Chalaltenango; the candidate is a woman iden fied with organiza onal work, whose name is Rosa Candida Alas. She was president of women and mayor of las Vueltas, with a good record of working with the people. We as community--women, youth and adults-- are par cipa ng in the houseto-house visits, with some degree of difficulty, because, as a direc va, we can t rely on any degree of economic support to mobilize people. We need to s mulate people to take part in ac vi es with a meal, and with transporta on, for which, if you were able to assist us it would be opportune for the ac vi es we re undertaking. 4 Sacristans Needed We are still in need of 1 to 2 people to join the sacristan corp. Each month you would be responsible for tending to needed duties (checking candles, care of vestments, dusting, etc.) on just one day. You can choose the day and time that works best for your schedule. It takes about 45 minutes. Please contact S. Joann, if you would like to help with this important ministry. 5 The Prayer Corner Personal Prayer After Mass If you have a par cular inten on and would like the support of praying with another feel free to come to the Prayer Corner. Prayer leaders feel privileged to listen and pray with you. Listen for the announcement that prayer leaders are available a er Mass. Pray for Peace We are challenged by many things in our world today ~ including violence. So, we thought it would be a good idea to gather together ~ to send out posi ve loving energy ~ to heal divisions, bring hope, prevent war and soothe the afflicted. All are invited to gather on the First Wednesday of Every Month at 1 pm in the Mary of Magdala Chapel to Pray for Peace an End to Violence. Through various means we will pray and send this prayerful loving energy out into a world in need. In our first sessions we will start the prayer with music from The Armed Man A Mass for Peace by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. Each gathering will be about 30 minutes.
