Immanuel Goveas was crowned champion of the 2018 Badger State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 28, at Madison Area Technical College s Mitby Theater. April 7 and did an amazing job! The team worked inside this year, cleaning, clearing out the old and doing some organizing. It comes from the record of the Inquisition, persecuting heretics and torturing Jews and all that sort of stuff and it comes from the other side, too, from the Protestants burning the Catholics. It comes from the insensate pursuit of innocent and crazy old women, and from the Puritans in America burning and hanging the witches and it comes not only from the Christian Church but also from the Taliban. Every single religion that has a monotheistic God ends up by persecuting other people... Because they don't accept him. Wherever you look in history, you find that. It's still going on. Do you accept people who have a different religion? Do we in any small way persecute people because of their religion? What do you think? Live in Love 6

We currently are in need of people to join us in serving or offering a donation to purchase food. Please consider helping out. Worrying leads to stress and too much stress leads to physical problems, why? because mind, body and soul are connected. Stress is an inevitable part of life, something we have to deal with from cradle to grave, so learning how to deal with it makes all the difference. WHY IS STRESS SO PHYSICAL? The stress response is our bodies way of keeping us safe. When the brain senses danger, it alerts the adrenal glands to release stress hormones. That s what causes your heart to pound, blood pressure to rise, and blood vessels to constrict to send more blood to your brain and muscles. Stress makes your breath quicken to get more oxygen to your muscles and sends fat and sugar into the bloodstream to boost your energy. Actually, the stress response is helpful in the short term; it enables you to get through a difficult solution. But if you trigger the stress response repeatedly, over time it can contribute to depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, heart disease, heartburn, and many other health problems. I encourage you to look up a site on the internet, called CALM, there, you will find some excellent advice on how to deal with stress. (some info from Harvard Health Letter March 2018) Yes, There are More Uses for Vinegar A awesome idea instead of using round up you can make your own solution of weed be gone. 1 gallon of vinegar,2 cups of Epson salt, a quarter of a cup Dawn dish soap (The blue original) It will kill anything you spray it on. Just mix and spray in the morning, after the dew has evaporated. Walk away, go back after dinner and the weeds are all gone! Cheaper than anything you can buy anywhere. Never use round up again. Vinegar in the great outdoors: Keep full strength white vinegar in a spray bottle and use it whenever you see mildew. The stain will wipe right off most surfaces and the vinegar will keep it from coming back for a while. Remove mildew from wood decks and wood patio furniture by sponging them off with the solution of one cup ammonia, 1/2 cup White vinegar and a quarter cup of baking soda in a 1 gal of water. Use an old toothbrush to work the solution into tight places. To deodorize and inhibit mildew growth on outdoor plastic furniture and patio umbrellas mix 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of hot water. Use a soft brush to work it into the grooves of the plastic and for scrubbing seat pad and umbrella fabric. Rinse with cold water; then dry in the sun To clean off Bird droppings, spray them with full strength Cider vinegar. Or pour the vinegar onto a rag and wipe them off. Hint Hint Buy a plastic owl and keep on patio or wherever you don't want bird droppings. This worked for me last year!! Happy Spring Cleaning!!! Welcome to Our New Members.
