Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace, join to your own suffering the pain of all who have been hurt in body, mind, and spirit by those who betrayed the trust placed in them. Hear our cries as we agonize over the harm done to our brothers and sisters. Breathe wisdom into our prayers, soothe restless hearts with hope, steady shaken spirits with faith: show us the way to justice and wholeness, enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy. Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts, heal your people s wounds and transform our brokenness. Grant us courage and wisdom, humility and grace, so that we may act with justice and find peace in you. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

4 FAITH COMMUNITY NEWS PART-TIME SECRETARY POSITION Saint Francis Xavier Church is currently seeking a part-time secretary to job-share the administrative functions of the parish and religious formation. The position will work from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Primary duties include; answering phones, greeting visitors, weekly bulletin, type programs and letters, post collections, assist in religious formation registration, and maintain calendar and records. It happens to all of us! That s why during the October 6th and 7th Masses, we are having a Called by Name Sunday, where we will be asking everyone in attendance to wear a name tag. Name tags will be available at the entrances. Help us to get to know you. Growing in our sense of community will benefit us all! Intercessory Prayer for the needs of the pastor and parish. Join the team and pray on your own. Help before/after Masses-occasional need to work at a table for sign-ups, name tags and other various activities. Faith Formation Advent Activity-Help plan and carry out any part of the Advent family activity on November 29th. Parish Mission on the EUCHARIST!-help in the coming months with organization and promotion of this December 1st through December 5th Mission. Living the Eucharist Lent 2019-coordinators, promoters, small group leaders are being sought now. Monthly Meetings-usually the 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Consider joining to help with coordinating ways to assist the parish and bring others closer to Christ and others.
