3 A donation to the Memorial Fund in memory of Emma, Warren and Jim Rountree has been given by Larry H. Rountree. A donation has been given to the Coats for Community Fund in memory of Corey Achstein by John and Virginia Kinsey. Coats for the Community Update Our coat supply of has dwindled rapidly during the cold days of February. In addition to the January 9th distribution day, coats were given out on Tuesdays during the past few weeks and we are now almost depleted. It s good to know that many people in our community have been warmed a bit by this effort. Our distribution for this year has ended, but it is never too early to start restocking our racks. If you are out shopping and see a good value on a coat, please consider making a purchase to help us restock. We need every size, male and female, as well as hats, gloves, scarves and of course, end-of-season sales are rapidly approaching AND a good time to shop! Also, we are in need of tubular hangers (wire hangers are not sturdy enough for our use.) If you have some in your closet that you do not need, please consider donating them to this project. Thank you so much for your participation! Notes of Appreciation Harden and I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and concern these past few weeks. Your love and care is heartfelt and deeply appreciated. It brings me much strength during difficult times. You all warm my heart. Evelyn Jones ( ) TEAM JANINE Hello fellow Christian family, This year I have taken on the role as Team Captain for a Relay for Life team that is near and dear to my heart. As many of you know, Janine Joyner was diagnosed with Leukemia, the type she has makes it very hard for her body to fight off any kind of infection, virus, or germs. Janine has been a big part of my life when I attended the youth group we have at SCC. She is kind hearted, sweet and will give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. This year we have made TEAM JANINE for relay for life, we have set a goal for $1, that we want to exceed and raise as much as possible before May 20, Relay for Life is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and money for cancer research. We want to show Janine that she has an army behind her and we are in this fight together as one. Please help us meet our goal, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me at or us3marx@gmail.com. You can donate at and find Team Janine. We appreciate your support.
