RECONCILIATION Confessions are heard from 3:00 3:45 p.m. on Saturdays at Holy Rosary Church and 30 minutes before every Mass and 4:00pm- 4:45 pm MARRIAGE Engaged couples are to contact the office to schedule an appointment with a priest or deacon at least 6 months prior to the desired wedding date. The letter proclaimed that there was unanimity among the Bishops in presenting the request for a new diocese to Your Excellency. The new diocese would consist of the western most part of the Archdiocese of New Orleans from the Atchafalaya River to the Sabine River. The total number of Catholics in the new diocese would be around 150,000 or 25% of the Catholics within the Archdiocese of New Orleans at the time. National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministries in this Centennial Year, the Diocese of Lafayette is happy to host a national Marriage and Family Conference July at the Cajundome Convention Center. Please pray for the holiness of marriage and family and the success of this conference. For information on the conference and to register, visit, August 15 get your boat and join the procession - Fete Dieu de Vermilion our Eucharistic Adoration will be on the Vermilion River this year beginning in Abbeville at St. Mary Magdalen with a Mass in French at 8am. The river procession will begin after with a Rosary and Benediction then a Rosary and Benediction at s, then a foot 3:45pm from Beaver Park to Cathedral up University St. to the Cathedral Vespers at 5pm and Mass at 5:30 with Bishop Deshotel. Having 121 Church Parishes in our Diocese we would like to have at least 1 boat from each parish. Centennial Youth and Family Fest a gathering at Parc International Downtown Lafayette on Saturday, October 20th from 3pm to 9pm for Faith, Fun, Music, Food and Eucharistic Adoration. 3 Meetings ~ Organizations Catholic Daughters -Under the patronage of the Blessed Mother, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas are united by their faith in Jesus Christ, in their devotion to the church and the Holy See. Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Cabrini Hall at 6:15 pm. September thru June. 5 Our Summer Bible Study Program is a week-long session filled with Sacred Scripture, songs, skits, arts and crafts, and fellowship - similar to the "Hi God" program of years ago. Please note, this program is optional. It will not fulfill the religious program requirements for your child for the upcoming school year. Our new CCD program will begin in the Fall. More information on that program will be shared as soon as it is available. There is still time to register for our SUMMER BIBLE PROGRAM. Unfortunately the shirts have been ordered. Registration from this point onward does not include a shirt. CODE: W8DYN7 To the Heights Young Adult Encounter The encounter will focus on forming Mission Driven Young Adult Disicples. Our goal is to walk with young adults in and throughout the Lafayette area letting them know that we welcome, honor, and empower them to succeed. Young Adults make huge discisions in their lives. These descisions can be frightening so our day will be centered on keynote speakers ranging from Fr. Howard Blessing, pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dustin Bertrand with God Made Self Driven Ministries bringing his gifts and talents. God Made Self Driven T-Shirts avaliable to purchase.
