4 DELEGATES NEEDED: The Western District Conference summer Assembly will meet at Tabor Mennonite Church (rural Newton) on Fri., July 27 and all day Sat., July 28 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church (Goessel). BCMC is eligible to send 18 delegates. If you are willing to attend all sessions, please contact the Gifts Discernment Committee ) or church office ) by April 15. There is a $50 reimbursement per delegate. Mennonite Central Committee is offering three free webinars this spring for churches who want to learn more about how to address sexualized violence within their congregation and how to encourage healthy sexuality and healthy masculinity among members. The webinars will be led by church leaders and others with expertise in the topics. All three webinars will start at 2 pm and end at 3 pm. The first webinar, Healthy sexuality in our congregations will be Apr. 11. Kathrine Goerzen and Benjamin Reynolds will lead the discussion focusing on what role the church can play in fostering and supporting healthy views of sexuality. The Kansas State Fair s master plan allowed use of the same buildings as in Sunflower South saw the first Silent Auction, a great success. In Sunflower North, the MCC booth expanded to include school kit assembly. The Domestic Arts building became home to Caps Central. The Pretty Prairie Youth Group provided carnival games in the Tech Building. A change in state policy led organizers to buy two construction trailers to convert into kitchens for the Domestic Arts Building. $450,000 went to MCC. With a theme of Praising God Through Service, this year s Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale is April My Coins Count campaign continues through next Sunday, April 8. Parents, encourage your children to add to their banks this week and bring them next Sunday to be collected during the children's conversation. More quarters are still needed to fill the quarter bank under the balcony by the sign up sheet table. Children may also enjoy the tornado coin collector in the Gathering Place.
