The knot symbolizes God s constant work of turning the world and our expectations inside out and upside down. CHILDCARE Wendell & Yvonne Banman will provide childcare in the nursery during worship for children 3 and under. Next week, Vicki Harder & Joni Jantz will be responsible.

If you, or your Sunday School class can support the sale budget in this way, get in tough with Loren Reusser, your relief sale contact person, or send contributions to sale treasurer, Tim Miller, 4805 Broadacres Rd., Hutchinson, KS COMMUNITY GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE AND PRAYER VIGIL Shalom Mennonite Church (800 E First St, Newton) is hosting the annual Community Good Friday Service, April 3 at 7:00 pm. A prayer vigil will also be held in the afternoon from 1:00-6:00 pm prior to the service, when community members are invited to stop by for quiet prayer any time during those hours. The Good Friday service is organized by the Newton Ministerial Alliance (NMA). An offering will be taken which goes to the NMA Community Assistance Fund account for distribution through the Salvation Army. All are welcome to this service and prayer time. BEYOND FAITH CHURCH EVERENCE FINANCIAL SEMINAR Join Everence for a special presentation Tuesday, April 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Shawn Persing, CFP, AWMA, Director of Financial Planning at Everence, will talk about how financial planning can help you achieve your goals and avoid costly financial mistakes. He also will discuss how integrating your faith with your financial decisions can help you change your world. The presentation will take place at Faith Mennonite Church, 2100 N. Anderson, in Newton. COMMUNITY CARNIVAL It s a Birthday Bash Carnival to celebrate 10 years of Harvey County Homeless Shelter! On Saturday, March 28, they plan to have carnival games, a bounce house and even a silent auction! It is completely free, but there will be food available to purchase. They are asking the community, churches, youth groups to volunteer to run the games, prep and sell food, just be present to help make this a success. Mike Powers had bypass surgery on Friday, March 20. WEDNESDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS Our Wednesday night programming will be a series on poverty within our own community. March 25 - How Can Faith Mennonite Church Help Meet Local Community Needs? - Grace Bartel, Jesus Martinez, Verda Deckert SENIOR FASPA The Senior Faspa will be today at 5:00. We will be featuring Robert Kreider. He will tell us of his findings in two-months reading through 800 pages of the Martyrs Mirror. If you have not read Martyrs Mirror you will want to be there. Bring a plate of goodies and your table service. Everyone is welcome to join us for Faspa! - The committee Ken & Mary Janzen & Jim & Doris Yoder WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS This Wednesday, March 25, is pizza night. The menus is pizza, carrots, celery, apples, pop, ice cream and toppings. Please indicate on the friendship sheet how many will be coming from your family. The suggested donation is $2 per individual or $5 per family. KANSAS MENNONITE RELIEF SALE By working together with the Kansas Mennonite Relif Sale, we have the opportunity to share with the needy of our world. Each year, it is the sale s goal to raise funds to cover the budget leading up to the sale. The purchasing committee needs cash gifts for over 40 items ranging in cost from $350 for tea to $8,600 for building rentals. This allows the money raised the weekend of the sale to go directly to the work of MCC.
