Sam Banman is now at Showalter Villa. Continue to pray for healing. Continue to pray for Glenn & Robin s neighbor, Mike Krehbiel, now home after a heart attack. Delmar s friend, Verlin Koehn, had surgery for masses. Pray for positive outcome and quick recovery. Continue to pray for Aaron s friend, Josh Summers, & family, as he recovers from open heart surgery. He is off the ventilator now. Diane Martin is doing better. Continue to pray for healing. Praise God that Dan Stucky & family were able to escape safely from a fire in their living room. 4

5 FIRST MENNONITE ANNOUNCEMENTS Graduation/Farewell Reception: NEXT SUNDAY, between Sunday School and worship, there will be a reception for our graduates, Kolby Martin & Lucas Stucky, and exchange student, Lesya Oreshchuk, who will be returning home to Kakhovka, Ukraine. Sponsor a camper: If you have fond memories of summer camp and would like to help provide that experience for a child by sponsoring them, please mark your check accordingly. Sponsorship funds must by received by the end of May. Care Portal: If you wish to support the Care Portal ministry, please designate it in the memo area of your check. This is how we will fund this new ministry opportunity for Care Casseroles are in the freezer for any need, (ie: new baby, death in family, surgery or any other time a gift of food would be appreciated) for anyone, church member or community friend. Just note it on the list on the freezer when you take one. ~ Witness & Hospitality Commission MCC School Kits: Becca & Jonathan have a goal of 500 kits in 2016! So, each month between now & late July/early August, we ll highlight a different item to go in school kits. Kits will be put together Sept 11, after worship. May: Rulers. WIDER CHURCH PRAYER REQUESTS Pray for local, regional international peace & justice workers and trauma care providers coming to EMU for the Summer Peace Building Institute, May 9-June 10. (MEA) Laura Schlabach of Mennonite Mission Network has served in Mongolia for more than two decades in the areas of finance, administration, and worker support. Pray for her as she divides her time between the main office in the capital city and her travel to be a spokesperson for the needs of more remote areas. MMN) 5

Food donations left by your mailbox will be picked up by letter carriers and United Way volunteers beginning at 9:00 a.m. All donations will be delivered to McPherson County Food Bank. McPherson Community Brass Choir Sousa Style Concert: NEXT SUNDAY, 5:00 p.m. Church of the Brethren. All are invited to the free concert. Bring your picnic lunch, and lawn chairs or blankets. Musical groups, Shoulder to Shoulder/Rise Up Singing will sing & play. Come sing along for peace! Sponsored by People of Faith for Peace. In case of inclement weather, the picnic will move to First Church of the Brethren at 10 th and Jefferson. Mennonite Central Committee & WillowSpring Downs events: Fun on the Farm: June 11, 1-5 p.m. In the tradition of Day on the Farm, but different, Fun on the Farm features interaction with animals, relays, snacks, games, nature scavenger hunt, obstacle course, stick horse race, rides, and crafts for children of all ages. Come for the fun, and learn about MCC s work around the world in the process! Admission is free. In case of rain, call or for updates.
