Call Carl or Rita Kuenne at or rckuenne@yahoo.com. Blessings to all and thank you! ELCA Good Gifts Do you know a child who would be thrilled to learn that a chick or other barnyard animal is being given in his/her name to a needy family? Or adults who would appreciate that you are honoring them by contributing a water filter or health care to someone halfway across the globe? If you are wanting to help others who have so very little both in the US and around the world, check out the Good Gifts catalog on the table in the narthex. Pick up an ornament to include with your gift. You can find out how to give in the Good Gifts catalog or online at ELCA.org/goodgifts. Come Make a Difference in the Life of a Confirmation Student Are you interested in making a difference and having an active role in the faith of one of our confirmation students? St. Philip is continuing its mentoring program for our confirmation students! Our mentors have and continue to make a big impact on our confirmation students and their faith. Our goal is to pair up one confirmation student with one adult in the congregation. We would like the mentors to walk with the confirmation student for two years as they go through confirmation. The hope then is that this relationship continues as they are in high school. There are three Wednesdays in Advent where the mentors will meet with their mentee (December 6, 13 and 20). Then we will come back in Lent to meet again (February 21 and 28 as well as March 7, 14 and 21). We will begin with worship at 6pm and then join in a meal together after worship. After the meal the mentors and the confirmation students will meet for mentoring for minutes, until 8pm. Please contact Pastor Brad if you are interested. Sharing with Sheridan Food Pantry December Donations For December we are asking for 16 oz. cans of peas and corn and personal items such as toothpaste, bar soap, small hand creams, and shampoo.
