So many of our kids enjoy this week of study, worship, and fun. I want to thank all the many people who volunteer to allow us to provide this special time for our children! Tomorrow night (Monday, July 17), I will be teaching Adult Ed on "The Resurrection of the Body". This is one of the central teachings of Christianity - it's mentioned in both the Apostle's and the Nicene Creed. But do we understand it? When will we be resurrected? What will we be likefor all eternity? Come and find out! 7:00 pm, Fr. D'Arco Hall: one hour, followed by questions and answers! (By the way, we had a wonderful turn-out for last week's class on "The Rapture". Come join the crowd, and learn more about your faith!) This Tuesday, July 18, we begin a new Alpha Course, in the hall at 6:30 pm. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome. We even feed you dinner! If you want to be refreshed in the fundamentals of our faith, if you know someone who had been away from the Church for a long time who might be interested in returning, if you know someone who wants to find out more about Christ and His Church, Alpha is the place. No need to pre-register: just show up! No pressure, no commitment. Just an opportunity to hear why we believe in Jesus Christ, and what we believe as Catholic Christians!
